I haven't had any problems so far. why isn't this being upvoted?! this man saved me $25 and a lot of time. Thank you. Got my key within 5 minutes of ordering. But to be honest I have no idea how their business works because a key is still a key to the FULL game so I do not understand how they are selling for so low! Amazing. How are they getting their cuts? It seems like they take out the key from the boxes but what good is the box and CD with no key to play? And there can't possibly be a market for the manual and box art. w/e thanks again TMStarcraft! No worries man
From what I understand, they purchase the Russian retail box and resell that. Russia, land of super cheap games apparently.

How this works: In Mother Russia... okay, time to be serious... In Russia games sell for much cheaper than other countries like, for instance Australia where they are marked up. So these guys buy games in large quantities in Russia, then they manually open each box and send pictures of the CD key of each game to the buyer for a fraction of the retail cost of buying the game in the buyer's country...
The trick is to investigate the specific game your buying, some are region locked and others can only be downloaded in certain ways.... although, you may be successful in some cases with torrent versions where your key may be valid.
I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS, cause i preordered space marine, but at least one person here on TL seems to have had success with it so I feel like BUMPING for all the new people to this thread...
some reviews of the website: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/52297 http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/deadspace2/show_msgs.php?pid=981280&topic_id=m-1-57971783
IF YOU USE THIS PLEASE LEAVE A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF YOUR EXPERIENCE SO WE KNOW WE CAN TRUST IT ^.^
I feel obligated to add this this could also be against he EULA of the particular game and that there is a chance that steam will punish you for using a key distributed outside of your region (because they are greedy like that)

Is there anyway to change the graphics settings other than whats given in the video options menu, it's an extremely feature-lacking menu.

hehehe all I can say that it is legit because I got my key within 5 minutes of ordering. They send you an email with a picture of the CD Key. NOT SURE about it being a legal business though
btw you guys liking the Multiplayer feature? I think we should make a TL community clan for this game ^^

Why am I not surprised this game is a linear hack and slash fest? First 2 hours and haven't done a single thing I haven't seen in Gears of War or anything else.
|
I chickened out, didn't want to take the chance of getting my account banned, especially cause all my gfs games are gifts from me :/
Worst case I'm out $25, maybe I can resell the key to someone on TL who doesn't care about getting their steam account banned. I submitted for a refund, hopefully it won't be hard getting my money back.
edit: got my money back

anyone else having trouble joining multiplayer in the PC version? I've been in queue now for 30 min...

Ok I probably should've posted about that. I guess I sorted everything out in my head, decided the risk was worth it and haven't thought about it since.
AFAIK, Steam doesn't look kindly on these practices, but their enforcement is sketchy at best.
According to the cdkeyshere website owner, out of 2.5k orders for BlackOps, two people had their game banned. Take that however you will. Note that BlackOps also required a Russian VPN to activate as well. Source
Personally I've had BlackOps since day one and the steam account I made for it is fine and the game still works.
If Steam decides to take action, they would more than likely ban that particular game, although they could also ban your account (I haven't read of any account bans, but it is a possibility and a risk you have to take into account).
On the issue of legality, you are essentially importing a game from overseas, except all you are receiving is a legitimate cdkey. But from what I've read it is a grey area which is why these cdkey websites can still exist.
For Warhammer, they offer refunds if you have problems down the line, so if you really are worried you could open a second Steam account and register the game through that. I don't want to sound like I'm promoting that website, but cheap games are cheap and we could all stand to save a bit. Pricing on games here in Australia hurt the soul.
Hope that gives you guys enough information to make an informed decision If I think of anything else, I'll edit this post.
edit #1: bad sentence!

I'm loving it so I'd be interested

I just used cdkeyshare and I can confirm that it works. Bought the game at ~9:00am, paid through paypal. E-mail with photo attachment of a cd key arrived ~30mins later. Just entered in the code into steam and began downloading the game. Great way to save $25. Thanks for the info, I can't wait for my approx 1 1/2 hr download and i can start playing :')

Bought it from cdkeyshere.com, worked great and I got my key within 5 minutes of payment. Downloading the game as we speak!

I had a problem with being laggy but I was playing at 4am so it would have just been a location thing, I've not had that error but I've seen threads about it on the relic forums so it's a known issue.

I have to say the CDkeyshere site is really well done. I had my key in 15 minutes and at first it didn't work properly, I sent a message to support and they fixed the issue in less than 5 minutes.
I don't know how much of a risk it is, but I'm all for saving money on buying games.

Could I use a key from the site to get it in the Uk even though it's not released here?

Why i can hear some voices ingame?
