Competitive cooldown? Only 30 minutes unless you are a serial leaver than it starts adding up.

He's playing on a new account, you're limited to 2 wins/day on new accounts. Once you get 10 wins, you can play for however long you like.

Ugh, it's not like I'm playing with a brand spanking new account. 176 hours played, 10 year old steam account. :-\

sorry didn't know that was implemented. It is understandable though, hacking is absolutely rampant and there needed to be some counter measure.

Don't know if you read/follow "kids say the most retarded shit" a.k.a hltv.org but there's some juicy drama brewing there. Some guy (calls himself professional journalist) just called out Pita for hiding the money it was received in charity in go4Balkan. Seems that there's some loopholes in Pita's story, but that guy also comes across as fake. More soon to follow :D

Hi!
I just bought Operation Vanguard pack, I got only an general idea of how this works. There's multiple paths to follow, and I can only complete 28 missions.
So my question is, is there any better course to take, or any course is as good as any to collect the rewards?

either way, I chose to finish the Weapons Specialist campaign first, since most of those are easier to do (get x kills in x gamemode). assuming you want to level your challenge coin to gold, just focus on doing all of the weapons specialist missions to get the 6 4 stars you need for the gold coin. the hardest part of weapons specialist is the final 3 star mission where you need to actually win an arms race match.
in the vanguard campaign, you can grind out those missions too but a lot of them are competitive matchmaking-based, which means you need to commit to full matchmaking games. and the endgame missions of those involve winning two matchmaking games, which can be frustrating if you keep losing.
basically, i think the weapons specialist campaign requires less time commitment so go for that.
edit: i lied, apparently you only need 4 stars for the gold coin. which means you don't even need to do the 3 star missions

Thank you!
The rewards are of similar value following either campaigns?
Should I go straight for the 3 star?

I think the most profitable path is to avoid the missions that award a vanguard chest. While most of the skin missions will give you a crappy skin there is a chance that you will receive one that is worthwhile (and the bad skins are worth almost the same as the vanguard cases at the moment).
That is assuming you want to maximize the value of the rewards of course. If you want to upgrade your coin then I would suggest rushing to complete the 3star missions although you have plenty of lee way with 28 missions.

Thank you.
I'll try to upgrade the star and hopefully I'll get some cool AWP or M4A1-S skin

It's a long shot but I think some of the missions drop the collection with the A1-S Knight/AWP Dragon Lore. Simply in terms of potential gain/mission played, those are easily the most valuable.

Yup but those Cobble missions are only in 1 of the paid campaign sadly. For people who like to gamble, it might be worth it I guess. Oh and those Cobble missions can also drop the M4A1-S Knight.

Can I redo missions? Will the number of available missions decrease for me? For example, atm I finish mission X, and I still have 25 available missions, if I redo it will it decrease? Or does it only decrease after I clear new missions as I advance?
And, more importantly, will I have a chance of dropping those skins if I redo it?
|
Nope you can't redo missions, once you've completed a mission, you need to do a new one.
|
Is there any difference from having more than 4 stars?
If it makes no difference I will focus my missions on getting some skin
|
As far as I know, nope it doesn't make any difference. You can't get your coin higher than gold nway.
|
I'm getting a bit more consistent with bhopping, I still can't play very well but I'm always about the movement (Was Scout/Soldier in TF2 had 2.5k kills on the Market gardener )

Damn you volvo, agreed with someone on keys for his knife, bought the keys and obviously can't trade them for a week, so no deal and I'm bound for a week, -_- .
Request: If a trusted tl member can help me out with 28k which I'll repay back in a week I'd greatly appreciate it.
