It can only drop more the more the market gets them in-stock and more people get it. Only reason it would go up is if the case drop is suddenly decreased for some reason or valve decides take it off the market for some reason.

Or another dumb rumor like the Griffin becoming contraband because of Harry Potter plagiarism and it shoots up to $100

Is there something mechanically different between the awp and the scout? I know there's a bit as far as shooting while jumping/falling, but just sniping normally I'm way way way more comfortable with a scout for some reason, some games to the point where I'll keep a scout over an awp just because I know my scout shots will hit, where I always seem to miss with an awp.
The awp I get a fair few shots that feel like my crosshair is centered on his chest and I get nothing, but that never happens when scouting.
Also, I yelled at people for smurfing the other day, but had a game today where -I- went 32 - 8, so maybe matchmaking is just shit.

I believe you move faster with the scout. I don't snipe much myself but it might also zoom quicker.

The entire match is deleted from your MMR history, even if the hacker is banned months later. It can be annoying to randomly down or uprank

Also, I yelled at people for smurfing the other day, but had a game today where -I- went 32 - 8, so maybe matchmaking is just shit. Scout moves much faster than awp. (In 1.6, the scout moved faster than a knife iirc, not so sure about CSGO, maybe just a few units slower than knife.) Scout's scope has lower zoom than the awp scope. So there is definitely a different feel to it. Incidentally, I can't hit anything with a scout to save my life, while my awp is slightly less terrible than my scout :D

It's way harder to slide shoot at corners, you're going too fast :D

I'm too scared to awp in competitive, it's like I'm carrying a million dollar high tech weapon that I'm just gonna feed away to the enemy

This so much! :p It's funny because often times I notice that, when I pick up an AWP and nobody else wants it, I'm actually doing pretty decent with it. But straight up calling that I'm AWPing and getting one is something I very rarely have the guts to do. Of course, at my Gold Nova level, you almost always have like three idiots buying it every time they can regardless of the fact that that's too many in almost all cases so it rarely comes up.

Just roll with it guys, 360 MLG noscopes all day everyday! But seriously, practice makes perfect, so you should definitely learn to use an awp if nobody on your team buys it!

At any level (well, maybe not for the high tier ranks) you shouldn't really be scared of buying an AWP (well, unless as you said, the people in your team rush one and don't mind having 3+ in the team, which is dumb as fuck). You can train in awp aim maps, but you also have to play it on real maps to get the experience needed for angles, spots, etc.
|
I do practice it and play an okay AWP for my level, I was just saying how hard, psychologically, it can be to take responsibility and become THE AWPer on your team, especially in solo-queue! :p
But yeah, the AWP rushing (people just blindly buying it super quickly without checking what the others are doing) is really frustrating in Gold Nova. So dumb!

It just takes confidence I guess. I tend to be quite effective with an AWP, quite less so with rifles, so I like getting that role, even though there might be more skilled AWPers in the team. But usually, nobody cares anyway (when they know that one or two AWPs is enough).
Oh, and if that may help, call what you see with the AWP. It's always good info that may help your team and make people respect you for that. May remove a bit of the burden and it's trivial!

I don't get why I lose matches at silver 2 on my smurf when I can almost always go 1:1 in KD or better in MGE D:
Also, fuck the new case. All blues in $100 already of openings
