I wasn't in any hardcore competition either, but I had a great experience with CS 1.6, even going to internet cafe with friends, etc.
I wonder if this will give me the same experience as I did 10 years ago.

CS is so much more entertaining than halo....

I love watching GO already. It has all the basic elements that make CS awesome, but it's faster paced than 1.6. Once it's polished and has some new fresh competitive maps with some non-inferno aesthetics, I will love it even more.

Question is do I buy this or not...?
Haven't played beta for a while.. is the scoreboard still terrible (only displays top 5 players on each team)?

Haven't played beta for a while.. is the scoreboard still terrible (only displays top 5 players on each team)? I don't know why anyone who likes any CS or tactical shooter wouldn't buy it for $15! Crap like the scoreboard is being fixed daily while they work on polishing more important gameplay elements prior to launch. GO is already leaps and bounds ahead of source when source first came out. And remember, 1.6 began as 1.0.

Massive update coming before the 14th too, with lots of really good looking changes, really looking forward to it

does anyone have access to the beta right now? i know pre order keys come out on the 14th but everyone who got one got a second one for a friend, is anyone kind enough to help a brother get in a week earlier!?
PS already bought, love this game

Will there be an official team liquid server?

Just pre-ordered it. Didn't play in the beta, but for $13.49 really can't say "no."

So I have to buy 2 copies on 2 separate steam accounts so me and my bro can play together right? I guess that was obvious.
Anybody know how big is the file to download?? Apparently if you purchase, you get access in beta on august 14 until release too.

Pre-ordered it, its too cheap not to!

The disk usage for the beta is ~3.7GB. However, they're adding a bunch of models in the next patch so that might drive the usage up among other things.

Load times will probably be pretty long, but you should be fine as the source engine is great for low fps configs for slower computers. Duno how you can not run sc2 if you can play tf2/css though.

sc2 takes much more cpu power than any source engine game.
