Yes there is a TL CSGO steam group. There is also a Google doc that was linked a few pages back that you can use.
To be fair, I care about the rank of the people I play with, especially when they are lower level than me. I'm very inconsistent and I have a hard time staying in the MG range, so it happen sometimes that I get owned by people that aren't very decent (subjective I know) and that I know I should be able to beat them easily. I did play with some lower level ranks before and it usually ended up in me loosing rank because of bad loosing streaks (while still having a good positive k/d). It also can be a pain to play with some people who have a small knowledge of the game when you try to be more consistent and improve your game because you usually end up focusing more on explaining stuff than playing the game.
I used to not care about this stuff and was willing to help out new players with the game but after realizing how it affected my game, I stopped. Also, from a small experience in helping out "new" players in learning the basics of cs, people that are delusional about their skill usually don't improve much. They make you think they understood the advises you gave them and then when you start to spec them more carefully, you realize that they clearly didn't and they don't even try to apply them. You have to repeat the same thing over and over again and sometimes, they don't even get it after a couple of weeks. They sometimes even try to argue with you. It happened to me 2-3 times in previous cs games.
I'm not saying that way2mash4u is a baddie who won't ever improve because he's delusional about his skill or anything like that, I never played with him and he could probably improve fast with the help of someone who knows the game better than he does. I was just pointing out that seeking help for getting out of Silver II while calling himself "an experienced cs player" isn't really a good way to do it and that if he's unable to get out of his rank by his own, he should probably focus on improving instead of searching for some people to carry him (because the way he said it, it sounded like he was searching for people to get him out of silver more than people to play with).
Valid points. However, it's a little silly for everyone to jump on him when he was simply asking if there was a TLGO group. Everyone likes venting their frustration and that doesn't mean they want advice nor people telling them that they're bad as a response.
If you want to play with him, go ahead. If you don't, don't worry about him.

It's not about that. I don't really care about stats. I just want to play on the level that I was used to when I played CS 1.6. With people calling out positions and stuff. I know the basics of the game. There's probably still a lot I have to learn about GO, since I've only played that for like 2 months, but I know how the game works in general.

I'm bad at the game and I'm willing to admit it lol, have been going between Nova 1 and SEM, trying to learn and get better though. I'm on east coast USA and I usually play really late at night (midnight or later.) feel free to send me an invite on steam if you don't mind playing some time, steam name is same as TL.
Edit: never knew there was a TL account name doc, added myself to the list.

is there a way to switch those 2 around?
Yaaaay i finally know how people do that shit! Always thought it was something to do with movement on throw. Never needed it enough to figure it out lel
As for your question if it isnt in the official options there might be a way in config files or the command box

That's everything I won in the past week excluding the extra M4A4 Asiimov, AK Redline and USP-S Orion that I'm currently using. I started with the Golden Deagle and M4A4 X-Ray, won a bunch of items and then lost all my winnings aside from the M4A1-S Atomic Alloy... and then I bet the Deagle, X-Ray and Atomic Alloy on HR vs. VP and won everything else. :3

I'd say at least 6 months. I've been playing GO quite a while and it got introduced somewhere really early when I was around, I think.

As for top fragging and still not winning, people often put too much emphasis on scoreboard and KDR. You can play absolute garbage, then catch a few eco rushes and you're suddenly topping the board with very little effort. Also, you see a lot of people do stuff like playing overly passive and contributing nothing until its 1v5 and then score 2 pretty irrelevant frags while being hunted down. There are lot of really mediocre players who manage to top the scoreboard while actually still doing surprisingly little to win over the rounds. Often there guys are also the ones who then proceed to complain about their horrible teammates.
Certainly fragging is good, but ultimately it's about winning 16 rounds.
Looks fine. I don't care about all the detail on the map he is talking about. I mean, this is freaking CS. I would prefer the blandness of 1.6 quaders, colors and stuff over detailed cars, barrels and whatever not all day. That said, I think he is right about player model visibility on this map. All those mono colored walls seem to give a pretty clean view. I hope it gets into the next season instead of one of the BS maps we got last season.
Yeah I like the new season as well. Gotta actually learn it now though haha. Which I find pretty tricky because of the visuals, everything tends to look sameish. I mean, it looks great and gives great player model visibility, so that's good, but it's not exactly easy to recognize. Oh well, after a couple of matches it'll be okay.
What I dislike, and that's something that goes for all major CSGO maps, is how badly the cordon map system is implemented by map makers. Cordons are invisible brushes that determine which label is displayed in the top left corner of your screen. Why is goose not called goose on Dust2 when everybody calls it that? Why is quad and pit not labeled correctly on Inferno (quad doesn't exist and pit has some other name iirc, what about minipit?). There's tons of callouts that are international and super widely used and instead Valve give out these awkward generic names no one uses. And with de_season I expected them to be better. Call horseshoe horseshoe, call jail jail, everybody knows these callouts. They didn't.

I was discussing the exact same thing with my friend yesterday. I mean there is a lot of differences between some callouts (main/mini; secret/metro; spools/coils etc etc), and people who already use these callouts are not likely to switch just because their callout is "wrong", but it would be really helpful for new players.
Btw I would really love to do some 5v5 on the new season. I dont think we (tl:go group) can get 10 people, can we? Do you need a private server for these kind of things?

If you can get 10 people in the channel at the same time from same timezone you'll be a new god
Different callouts arent really a problem for me..I can easily remember 2-3 common ones for a certain spot and it only takes a couple of rounds before i adjust to a new one.
Detail in maps is one thing, clutter is another. Detail is great, clutter (visual and physical) is bad.
