The great thing about 1.6 is that everything was simple but it took a lot of practice to be good at something I hope they don't ruin csgo with gimmicky crap. To add: Molotov Coctail doesn't do that much damagae, ESL casters/crew described it as like drowning in Half Life - whenever you are in the fire = you take damage. But you can stack the fire they said. IF you throw 5 coctails it does 5 times the dmg.

(Might be old news, haven't read the thread for a while) Kevlar & Armor free 1 defuse kit per team moneysystem is broken. (if you lost pistol round you had to wait for 3-5 rounds to get some weapons) bunny hop not possible Maps are changed. No ramp point on nuke(?) Inferno's "tunnel" at the middle removed rumors about Train changing completely. Only one bomb plant. Weapons: Molotov coctail - you can block banana/hallway completely with one molotov coctail Taser - one-shot kill, really expensive and you can use it once(?) If theres something to correct, feel free to mention it. Link to source for all this info? I knew about molotov already but if the rest is true I may cry myself to sleep.

You could've just read the rest of the page. All this was taken from the ESL SHOW with Joe Miller and Bastian Veiser who were invited to the beta testing event.

I didn't even know Valve were going to make a new CS, and now I'm so excited for this game. Can't wait for the competitive matchmaking and ladder system. I'm sure it'll be a real ladder. The new weapons also sound interesting, it seems they're trying to add new elements to spice things up while keeping the classic CS gameplay and maps. I have no doubt Valve is going to show Activision and DICE how a real and eSports-level FPS is made. This is officially my most anticipated game, after the D3 announcement instantly killed any interest I had in that game.

Look, taser is the best thing that could ever happen to CS (other than bringing bhopping and pistol air aim back). It would be an actual skill shit where you need to predict enemy movement, even if only at a minimal level compared to faster paced games; rather than purely twitch based aiming as all other weapons in cs are

It still looks quite a bit like CSS to me. And I really don't want a super realistic looking game with a lot of camouflage. It completely changes the play style when enemies are hard to spot like in MW. Anyways, even if it looks like Source, it doesn't need to play like it. It mostly comes down to how good the netcode is and how they tweak the recoil. I assume they'll fix the other things like money system and armor. If the Molotov really does snare, that's just a terrible idea. It's too much of a defender's advantage, and even if it just does periodic damage, if it lasts too long it'll be a really bad thing. Ultimately CS needs to come down to aim, reaction times and teamwork. Adding items that can shut down portions of a map for a long time take away from that. EDIT: PS3, Mac and PC players will be match-made against each other, clumped by skill, regardless of input device or platform. LOL

I hope it plays like CS 1.5, wasn't a huge fan of steam 1.6 switch. The guns felt different(my beloved AK-47), and OMG source huge disappointment.

People on console get autoaim: PC players who are mediocre rage at the unfairness. People on console don't get autoaim: Nobody ever gets anywhere on a ps3. As much as I loved 1.6 and source and the nostalgia from seeing a new game rehashed it just looks like a shitty rehash.

They said PS3 can use gamepad, keyboard/mouse (UT3 allowed this at first) or Move <-2xLOL. I assume they won't allow aim assist if that's the case.

I'd imagine if Valve put in a custom "deathmatch" mode, Call of Duty would be smashed further into the ground.

Of course, I really want this game to be a competive title. Valve is planning to invite some North American CS pros to test CS:GO soon, and the devs seems to really listen to the pro's advice. Anyways, I can't wait to see some more videos out of PAX this weekend!
