Can any Source player say that??
Of course not.
And yet still who was invited to give feedback?

Compared to what CS used to be, those are nothing. BF and CoD did the same thing to the FPS scene that CS did beforehand - that is they slowed down the game, gave big penalties for shooting while moving, incorporated recoil to dumb down aiming, encouraged prone and crouched combat. They have the same idea as CS does. That is, changing the genre of FPS games from the hardcore high learning curve to a lower learning curve beginner friendly game. Remember, while CS players often beat their chests and use elitist talking points to show difference of their game over the "no skill" CoD and BF, CS itself ironically had the same goal as these games do. In a sense, they took what CS had achieved, and they polished and further reformed it to what modern tactical shooters are known as. CoD and BF are literally nothing like CS, took almost zero elements of competitive CS, and have no where near the strategy involved in CS. To even compare the games on a competitive level is a complete joke.

Can't wait to see what they've done to work in the current age of CoD and Battlefield. Plus, unlike them, the new CS won't be rotated out by Valve in 6 months to sell you clone of the same game. This might restore my faith in tactical fps. Hopefully. So you live in an alternate universe in which Quake doesn't exist?

Yeah I have, and I have been in cs clans and its utter bullshit. Its utter horseshit, nothing else. The decision making in cs is huge regarding movement, positioning, spending, goal and the needed precision for engagements. I have tons of more joy in cs and it is horseshit that its more strategic in bf. Unless one accounts Size = best (If the map is big, well then its much more strategic, which I disagree with) I disagree completely and I have seen both sides, and this is my personal opinion on the matter.

Unless one accounts Size = best (If the map is big, well then its much more strategic, which I disagree with) I disagree completely and I have seen both sides, and this is my personal opinion on the matter. I think you're confusing tactics with strategy. And the level of precision required relates to the level of competition, not the game in this case. I'll leave it at that though. Not keen on entering a silly argument with cs elitists ^^ 1.6 requires the best strategy, the best aim, the best reflexes, the best movement, the best tactics, the best communication. The best of all fields. -.- But in any case, I'm keen to see this CS. It's quite a laugh that people are judging it before they've even played it. 1.6 is slowly dying in the grand scheme of things, and this is possibly the best bet for a replacement. I hope that if it's not a complete flop, the cs greats embrace it and bring real competitive team FPS to the mainstream instead of what MLG has going at the moment. Halo and Black Ops :<
