Its nearly impossible to play coop only with friends. Most of them are not my level or just aren't only when I wanna play.

But why the express need to play coop then, if not for playing it with people you have any idea who are? All it adds is higher chance for rare loot, which is in no way needed for anything you can do in the game. If you feel you've achieved something by getting all orange gear with max percentages, then more power to you if you can stand grinding for it, but you don't need to play coop for that at all.

Just because you're fine with playing alone doesn't mean other people don't enjoy playing a game designed for coop with other people.

I should have to come to a community site for SC2 to find people to play with? That is absolutely ridiculous.

Edit: And it doesn't just add better loot, it significantly changes the gameplay with teamwork using different classes/skills/weapons.

Why so defensive? t.t

All I'm saying is that expecting random people in online matchmaking to not screw you over, hack or what not in a game where the entire progress outside of the storyline is tied to randomly generated loot with shared drops is naive. I know I'd never enjoy even trying to get anywhere with that, and so I recommended going elsewhere for, hopefully, more trustworthy people.

Besides, it's not like TL is exclusively for people maining starcraft.

The "significant" dynamics inbetween what is now 5 different class skills. No, not really, but maybe that's because my background for synergy comes from games where it's actually noticable. In borderlands you can basically press your class skill on recharge and achieve a high amount of efficiency regardless of what your teammates are doing.

I was fed up with no oranges so I hacked the moxxi slots. Got about 50 oranges but only kept 4. Definitely worth it just to check out the kind of guns there are. There's a mini-nuke launcher, sniper rifles firing like shotguns, tons of stuff.
For one, I wish there was a higher drop rate of oranges/purple just off tough enemies, having them spawn from bosses sucks IMO.

While playing with friends is obviously best, there is far more to synergy with characters than just the action skills(even in bl1). The other skills, as well as equipment, can synergize too. Siren is an especially team focused class, you could take a skill where shooting friends heals them, and use a class mod to increase cooldown rate or give health regeneration to the entire team, or even just have a one player use a slag weapon and focus on keeping enemies slagged so that everyone else does double damage. And that's not even getting into basic team tactics in any fps. There's far more than just action skills to consider for good synergy.

Do you guys know what the hardest, most skill-based class is? According to the wiki, it's supposed to be the mechromancer if you choose a certain skill tree, but I'd rather hear it from people who've had hands on experience with the classes.
Besides, it didn't really say which skill-tree that was supposed to be lol

Best thing was, we where playing slots and I spent about 1mill and gave up. My friend joins the game pulls the lever ~5times and gets an orange -.-

Somewhere between before and after the end. I think I've finished something like 75% of the second play through. I'm at 48 and all the missions are ranked trivial.

So far I think Zero is the most difficult and most skill-based class, but I haven't played the mechromancer, and I was still able to get a blooshed zero up to playthrough 2.5, though I did have to stop to level up at two points in second playthrough because I was encountering enemies five levels above me. All three of the mechromancer trees look really really powerful to me, and most people have been commenting that she's op.

None of the classes are really all that hard to play, but mechromancer with Anarchy/Discord is definitely not the hardest class to play. Numerically, it's actually the strongest -- I finished PT2 with a level 44 mechromancer -- and involves the least aiming, though there is a layer of cooldown/reload management that doesn't really exist with other classes. Zer0 with maxed sniper tree requires the most aiming, and to maximize damage, you have to reload constantly.

I have every class but Axton/Commando at 50, and I'd rank skill ceiling as follows, highest to lowest:

1. Zer0/Assassin (requires most aiming, buff management requires consistent critical hits, reload management)
2. Maya/Siren (trying not to kill your phaselocked target to maintain Wreck can be a pain in the ass, and many large bosses are immune to phaselock)
3. Gaige/Mechromancer (Anarchy/Discord in the Ordered Chaos tree make things kind of interesting)
4. Salvador/Gunzerker (try not to run out of ammo?)

I played Zer0, Salvador, Maya, then Gaige. For DLC1, I'll probably use Gaige first, since I plan on marathoning it with a few friends, and that should be a good opportunity to be able to hit 600 stacks of Anarchy (150 base, +250 from skills, +200 from Terramorphous's class mod).

what are the requirements for the slap happy mission? i have done bright lights, flying city in pt2 and figured i should do some farming before i continue (lvl 41 now) so i hoped to finish this mission and then farm slappy, but sir hammerlock does not offer it. i did no side mission on pt2 so far pretty much, because i want them for 2.5

An organized chaos mechromancer is theoretically the hardest but unfortunately high anarchy stacks+close enough can make it quite possible to play it fairly sloppily and still do a lot of damage rather than doing what you are supposed to and managing anarchy/needing to aim. Also doesn't help that one of the anarchy spenders, death from above, is bugged helping to nerf the more intended playstyle.

The other nominee for the top is Zer0, specifically cunning spec assuming you disqualify the bloodshed spec for being melee.

Then Maya is kind of interesting with phaselock.

Axton and Salvador are both pretty baselevel simplicity for the game. There isn't really anything to using their class skills and they are not extra crit centric or anything like that.

A BFF mechromancer is supposed to be the really easy option but other than the close enough talent there isn't anything about that build that particularly simplifies gameplay compared to the other classes. In theory being the spec that is most about buffing the robot makes it simpler I guess but Axton has the same kinds of talent build options regarding turret.

oh, and another question:

does anyone know why those 'ballistic' assault rifles (those with the slow projectiles, with the front looking a bit like a small rocket launcher, but using rifle munition) always deal way lower damage than ther dmg stat would suggest?

Lower damage? Did you mean to say higher? I see them often doing equal or higher damage than they suggest since they are explosive, which has bonus damage that is not listed in the damage stat. Explosive is also slightly weaker against shields though, so I don't ever use explosive, I go for electric or slag if I want a consistent element.

Since you mention slower bullets, I'm assuming Torgue weapons, they use gyrojet bullets on both types. From the wiki
"Torgue weapons can have different "firing traits" so please test your weapon before swapping out for raw damage. The two types in question are: Torgue Folding Fin Rockets & Torgue Exploding Bullets. A torgue weapon with 300 base damage can easily out damage a torgue that does 1,000 damage. The reason for the difference is that torgue weapons that use "more then one bullet" when fired normally don't apply 2 types of damage output and cannot apply critical damage, these are normally the Folding Fin Rockets. Meaning if your torgue weapon uses 1 bullet at a time the "Deals bonus explosive damage" is applied secondary to the bullet, thus making that weapons damage its "hit damage" and the "bonus explosive damage" the AOE - These types are the Torgue Explosive Bullets. The bonus AOE damage cannot be figured out unless tested. Most torgue weapons that use more than 1 bullet when fired are 90% of the time completely inferior to torgue weapons that don't. Due to the bullet AND the AOE being able to critical hit targets. A good example of how this difference works is through elemental weapons that say "Deals bonus elemental damage" meaning that an extra damage output is fired along-side the original bullet and the damage also cannot be figured out unless tested."

For the slap-happy thing, I think you need to do most of hammerlock's missions before that comes up. I know you don't need to do perfectly peaceful, but I'm not sure exactly which ones you need.

hey. well the particular weapon im talking about is called 'slick cannon', is green and made by jacobs, consuming 2 bullets per shot. and ya well, its pretty underwhelming to say the least.

So we just finished our 2nd playthrough and tried to kill terra.... _tried_ It's not as easy as crawmerax from bl1. I guess we need better gear? Best we could do is get him down to 60% then he started to blackhole us.
