You know... mouse accel, consolitis, etc. Is it good to go? I kind of want to suggest this for my friends to lan with (4 people total) but the first one annoyed me a good bit with mouse accel issues, and if it requires a config type fix I'll have to do the fix to 4 computers =/ But if it's just solid PC controls, I'm ready to jump in.

If you hit 'stop' or cancel or whatever AFTER the first time, it works. I've started it several times now just fine by canceling the update/installs. good luck

I've started it several times now just fine by canceling the update/installs. good luck A lot of people were having these issues, where everytime you start the game, .net framework would need to be installed. So i un-installed .net framework from the uninstall programs list, started up BL2, let it install .net through that way, which then made me install windows updates as well, restarted my PC, and now i dont need to deal with that .net stuff anymore. Slight pain in the ass, but better than dealing with it everytime you wanna play. On a side note, im getting god awful performance in this game, which is really odd, since BL1 played at 100+ fps maxed out for me, now, im getting like 50 when im in the 1st town, and when i venture out, and start killing shit, im at like 10-20 fps. I know i can max this game out no prob, its Unreal engine 3, not exactly taxing here. Im using a 5800 HD, so the physx i would think is being off loaded to my CPU, but it doesnt matter whether i have physx at low or high, nor does any other option in the game make the game run better. Thinking theres a memory leak maybe? or they just need to patch this up, but right now, i dont think i can keep playing at 10-20 fps, when i can play battlefield 3 at 50fps almost maxed. GG GL. EDIT:::: So after tweaking and looking around the config files, i found the culprit. Physx!! since im on an AMD card, physx was just raping my framerate. So i went to mydocuments/mygames/borderlands2/willowgame/config/willowengine.ini and searched for physx in the config file, 3 items came up, i just changed the "physxlevel_2" to 0. and BAM!!! 60FPS now!!! im preety sure just changing the physx settings to "low" in game, and restarting BL2 will fix this as well. But i went a step further. GG GL.

So far as I can tell, the controls and options are pretty much great. No mouse accel, FoV options, and plenty of graphical settings. The in game inventory/map/etc are still very consolized, as they were in BL1. At least you can click on it now ![]() So far, the management GUI is my only complaint. Everything else is just peachy, from performance to gameplay to story. This is coming from someone that didn't really care for Borderlands until the DLC. Only 2 hours in though, things could change of course! edit: nvidia user

Will be getting the game eventually anyway but these two things really bugged me from the first game (which I did enjoy despite its shortcomings.)

I'm 4 levels above the recommended, I've done every sidequest and explored every map that didn't have lvl 20something guys in it, I'm resigned to say it's impossible for me to solo. Anyone else lvl 10-14 wanna give me a hand so I can actually continue playing?

There do seem to be a few minor improvements though. Gun and ammo vendors seem to be more prevalent so you can sell off your loot without having to walk too much. There's a bit more effort into the story this time around too. That's all I wanted, fuck yeah. Now I have to wait....
