My strategy is usually to just Vaal Skellies to distract and blast down unique enemies, but it doesn't work against a lot of the exiles. | ||

Question is: Does a Divine Orb reroll those stats within the same Suffix or can it get values from higher Tiers of Suffixes? Heres the Suffix list (www.poemods.com): ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/bVz0lr0.png) so for example: The +23 Fire Resist is the max roll for the "of the Drake" Suffix. If I reroll it, will it stay in the "+18 to 23" Range or is it in the "+6 to +41" Range? Also: Will the Crafted +50 Max Life be rerolled? :O | ||

So for your example, you have the best possible fire res roll for those boots. I wouldn't divine it. | ||

Nah, it doesn't really make me feel better if others fail their dailies as well.^^ About Magnus, I don't feel too bad about him. I took a fully charged Flameblast from him in a Catacombs map last week. Dunno whether I pressed my Ruby fast enough but it only hit me for like 2k without MoM and lvl 16 AA or so. I would still advice to dodge his Flameblast. He is also pretty squishy. Dunno, so far I was more scared of Inga when I met her or double. Or double Xandro Blooddrinker, that was funny: Found the first one, ran a big circle around him to approach him bottom-up and got hit by another GS coming from south. Good thing that I didn't have to melee them but could kill them off screen... | ||

My character still does need a lot of optimizing though, probably need to sink a few exalts to really make it work. I'm running the two heralds, Purity of Lightning and a low level clarity, so not enough mana to really make arctic armor or MoM (using a CoD) work. Should probably trade in for a Coil (dunno how hard 4B1R will be get on that), upgrade all my equipment as well lol. Good to see that there's a lot of upside, but it kind of sucks since I want to work on a couple other characters... and I have last semester of uni. | ||

I also have like 10% chance to freeze from nodes I think? 20% chance to crit as well. Shouldn't a crit automatically freeze + shock w/ pyre+ 3 drags combo? With 2+ casts/sec, I figure I should be getting a pretty consistent freeze+shock off. I also threw in a CoDT Cold Snap... which never freezes  All the damage conversions and things I have are a little confusing. I just feel like I don't get as much freeze as I should be getting lol. | ||

if you are wearing a pyre + a 3 dragons then all your cold and fire damage will shock, and all your lightning damage will freeze. 20% chance to crit is really really low. 25% additional chance to shock puts you at 40% chance to shock with cold/fire (yes thats the math) and 10% additional chance to freeze puts you at 28% chance to freeze, which is really not very high. Given the extremely variable amounts of damage done by lightning skills, some of your freezes will be strangely short while some will be acceptably long, so that impacts it too. Three dragons and pyre are both awful uniques lol, I don't really think that running both of them in order to get big freezes + small shocks with arc is better than just getting big shocks and small freezes with arc + herald of ice. Focus on crit instead of silly elemental status stuff and you'll be freezing stuff in no time. Yes, bosses are an issue but even freeze mine has issues freezing big bosses some times. Self-cast coldsnap + cold pen is going to be your best bet for freezing biiiig mobs I think. CWDT + coldsnap doesn't freeze anything because it doesn't do any damage rofl. ur stuck with a low level coldsnap with like an 80% reduced damage multiplier or something dumb. oh yeah and it doesn't freeze i forgot that bit good point mirage. | ||

Crit = auto status ailment, though I'm not sure how the calculation for duration works for that 20% crit is low (my sceptre is absolute shit, so is my shield but that's self found), but given 2+ casts/ sec and the 10% chance to freeze, I should have a pretty good chance to get a freeze. I will probably switch out Pyre when I get a second good ring with crit, hp, etc.. I'm at 3.4 hp and 27K dps Tree | ||

Base shock duration is 27.6 seconds times the proportion of the target's effective maximum life dealt. The base (?) duration is capped at a third of this value (9.2 seconds). If the duration would be below 0.3 seconds, the shock effect is not applied; at base this is equivalent to 1.09% of the target's effective maximum life. If the duration would be below 0.3 seconds, the freeze effect is not applied; at base this is equivalent to 3.00% of the target's effective maximum life. @ticklishmusic The last part of each of the last sentences is the most important stuff for your build. Factor in what Sn0 said about the damage variance of lightning damage and you pretty much end up with a very inconsistent way to freeze  | ||

I don't understand why my freeze is so inconsistent against exiles though. 27K tooltip dps is pretty decent, 13K per cast on average with what should be a good bit of multi from pen + shock + celestial. I can almost permafreeze Dominus, but exiles (who have 52% resist just like him, with a 19/15 ele weakness +5% pen from tree, that's reduced by 38%+15*.4%+5%= 49% to 3% lightning resist and something negative for the other 2 types) seem to be almost impossible. I'm pretty sure (with the exceptions of +hp or resist mods) that exiles don't have more hp than him except in really high level maps. | ||
