Well, crafting is now back to "these nice life + 2 OK resist gloves are now life + 3 OK resists yay" which is great for resist-capping.
You can't really craft a super-gg multi-exalt weapon anymore. But its still pretty easy to get a 220pdps dagger which used to be a bitch to get but now is trivial (with just flaring + IPD, no multi-mod). Flaring being harder is DUMB (i wish i knew how much harder tbh) and completely unecessary combined with the multi-mod cost nerf but whatever. Classic GGG not thinking about the problem for more than "HAVE PROBLEM NERF ASAP".
I wish 5/6% leech amulets were a bit mroe common

Just died on a Zana map; lightning dmg, lightning res and shocking ground, not as big of a deal. I was dumb and a bit unlucky at the same time. Spawned a rare bow guy, maneuvered a bit than spawned a rare flickr strike chaos aura guy. I had vulnerability on me so I wanted to curse enfeeble immediately even when I was on shocking ground. Got flickered in that split second and died instantly. Got probably shot by something else as well because my life jumped below 1000 and then to 0. There goes all my currency, lol. Have like 25c left. Meh, deciding in the next few days if I will continue in Beyond.

RIP, what level did you die at?
My Flameblaster is lvl 85 by now, but idk, leveling is getting slower and slowly the fun is dwindling. Flameblast prolif clearspeed is awesome, though and I'm still playing. Not having many close calls as well.

I would really be grateful if you guys would could tell me what are the top 1 or 3 builds for each class in the game, just something I could google and find a good guide for.
There are like 20 or so guides for summoners so I'm a bit clueless on where to start, and it sounds super boring to level through the first 50 or so levels but I might be wrong since I haven't tried it actually. Thanks for all the info! Do not level with a summoner. If you want to play summoner level with something else and respec into summoner later.
As far as tops builds they switch around as patches/balances are released. I'd just find an ability you think is fun, check to see how people are using it on the forums, and adjust it slightly for yourself. Or browse through builds of the week and 1.2 builds on the forums until you see something you want to do. Most of the currently popular/best builds will have threads on the first page.
In Beyond I'm currently running a Dual Flame Totem build and in Rampage I'm using Chin Sol Ice Shot/Puncture Trap similar to the build of the week a few weeks ago. I'm enjoying both builds.

I hit level 90 in rampage and i'm kinda feeling like I might be done with this league.
Virtually all my gear will cost over an exalt to upgrade, if the items i want are even for sale in the entire league. I'm level 90, so grinding out XP is a rough proposition (admittedly I have a lot of 76 maps but to map you have to buy chisels which is goddamn impossible etc), I can farm atziri easily but the value is pretty low (half the time u get flasks/boots which are borderline valueless) for the investment (12c per run, no XP gain worth mentioning), and the other time you have to undercut literally hundreds of other people with the same atziri drops. I have probably 5 exalts worth of currency if you consolidated it (3 pure atm) so while i'm not destitute I can't just buy godlike gear for another build that I may wish to play (specifically a shavs :3). I have probably another 8-10 exalts worth of items hiding in my stash but selling is a bitch cuz nothing sells if ur not online and even then stuff doesn't move that fast really. Plus you have to manage ur store thread, set buyouts and/or deal with lowballers, etc.
I really wanted to do uber atziri (found the fragments myself) but i died 6 fucking times to the vaals on that lol (okay i'm a shitter I admit it, 5.5K hp should be enough). Going from 0->46% spell dodge should help with that for my next try but I don't have more fragments and it's like 3+ex per set I don't want to blow all my currency on another exceedingly short run for very limited payoff
TL;DR: QQ

I feel like done also since my wander got full gear as far as I consider. The few that can be improved are a 900es vaal regalia 6L and a 400es spell shield, so yah it's best to consider the char done for now.
|
I have a 500es shield for sale but it aint got spell dmg
its the good block base and has 2 suffixes open for block but doesn't actually have it rolled. And, of course, no prefix for spell dmg (fuckign thorns jesus christ how does a double-tier-1 es mod shield drop with thorns :/)
Atziri wasn't really a thing in dom, so doing her for a bit was really cool in this league but now it's kinda played out. I think I'd really enjoy uber atziri but like I said I dun wanna risk ALL my currency to do it once more and just get nothing. I'm quite sure that with 2 people I could do the vaals (basically one draws aggro while the other clears trash and DPS's, then trade). The rest should be doable solo with good play (which as i mentioned isn't my forte i'm so bad lol).

I'll happily sell my chisels in Rampage whenever to others in the guild. Hit me up if you see me on, I'll probably be mostly on Beyond, but I can come over to unload some chisels. I've got a couple hundred at the moment. They just sort of build up as I don't usually do a lot of high level mapping, just do them a few times and then make a new character.
|
I don't get the sentiment that you're "done" with a league, especially considering how there are a ton of builds. I'm pretty sure you can get to lvl80 with almost any build, as long as it's been optimized. So many cool spells, I have a really tough time choosing what I want to do next as my next character. Though I tend to stray away from weapon builds, mostly because to get past like 80+, weapons become exceedingly expensive to gear for.
|
Well, weapon-based builds were hella cheap to gear for this league until monday's patch (~5-10c to roll flaring, 15c for a divine, 2c for a regal, 5 more c to craft ur IPD/IAS, voila GG weapon for 1ex. MAYBE 1.5ex if ur picky on ur regals).
I get that there are nigh-infinite builds. I'm a theorycrafter at heart. But I detest levelling thru normal+cruel
My issue with buying chisels and committing to mapping is that I wont be able to try uber atziri until I ding 91 if I commit to mapping again since there's a 0% chance I can do uber deathless with this build so i'd be throwing away XP for no reason.
I didn't really wanna lock myself out of uber like taht.

I don't mind leveling anymore, it's just a matter of playing through the quests real quick to get levels. The only major increase in difficulty with leveling I feel is usually between act 2 and act 3 of merciless.

Well cruel dominus is a huge difficulty spike followed by a looooooooong easy trough.
regardless, its not about difficulty its about repetitively running content that I'm familiar with and preeeeetty bored of. Also its about being this shitbag character that is at best a shadow of my godly theorycrafted monster that I want to be playing asap lol. Most of my theorycrafted builds literally won't function below 90 points :3
Although its ez to twink these days, that part is true.

If you were in the guild you could get someone to kill bosses for you and avoid the difficulty spike easily. I think challenge/achievement completion is the way to go if you're looking for something to do.

Yes but the easiest challenge up next is full clear which is literally the worst shit. 3 times I've been like "oh thats doable" go to the first zone i haven't full cleared (Prisoner's gate) run it up and down 3 times still with 2-5 hiders left and gave up on that shitty challenge. Prisoner's gate is actually the worst zone. I'm also only at like 20/60 full cleared zones which is pretty aids.
I have the rampage/currency/unique mobs challenges done.
There's no way in hell i try for the unique items challenge, the beyond challenge is a possibility if I opt to level in rampage but actually killing abaxoth seems borderline impossible without another 2 weeks of playtime lol, getting 6 more level 65 chars isn't terribly appealing to me as thats literally the worst part of the game x6, Masters is another YEAH RIGHT LOL. Iunno.
Basically everything left in the game feels more like "NOM NOM TIME DEVOURING" rather than "Hell yeah this is fun stuff"
Please note that I love this game and I'm not trying to belittle it or call it shitty. I'm just saying that I feel like i've hit a bit of a dead end.

How do you miss monsters with tornado shot? Maybe if they're desynced and you think they're in range to die, but the monster got stuck on a wall that wasn't in range, but tornado shot's damage projection is pretty ridiculous. I had a few maps where I had one monster remaining and couldn't find it, but I suspect that had to do with the shatter bug that got fixed.
If you think Prisoner's gate is bad just wait until you get to imperial gardens ^_^

There is a reward for doing 5 challenges this season so you can opt out of a few of them. All masters to level 8 is definitely on the not doing list.

I levelled split shot, and I'm still not at all convinced tornado shot is better.
Prisoner's gate issue isn't missing mobs its mother fucking hiders asdlfjasdlfj (yeah gardens would suck too).

Split shot doesn't shotgun whereas Tornado shot does so the maximum damage is far higher. It's like pre-nerf LA except the damage coefficient is even higher and it works on single targets since you don't need chain.

ugh I should prob get my ass back into the game and get the 5 achievements done...
just that the game feels really bleh once you get to a certain point (for me it was being low on high lvl maps)
Granted I still want to try out how the build does with a 6L and drillneck but somehow I just don't feel too motivated.

I feel I'm in a similar boat, tho one thing I'm missing is the atziri kill. Planning on buying a new bow then trying again.
As for the 7 65s and the full clear they are pretty dull, but I think I'm just gonna grind them out. Got nearly 3 65s so far. Add me if you're interesting in grinding out the final two together, the full clears should be way quicker in a group (ign: "Kuroyukihiime" lvl 88 ts ranger on rampage (EU))
