You end up wasting a lot of nodes between the marauder start and getting to the edge. With the Witch you get to the edge by picking up fire damage and life nodes and can cycle around the tree down to Ancestral Bond picking up all the good nodes along the way (whispers of doom and the life nodes). You're going to end up at the Scion wheel so there are plenty of life nodes that you don't need to go hunting up to the Marauder start area (although you could end up there anyway if you want to get really tanky). Now that I think about it witch definitely has a nice progression for the build, but I don't think the scion vs maurader start is as big as you make it out to be. | ||

I did the same in standard. Had some luck in Beyond and found her three times on my first 5 maps. But it's really RNG, sometime I find her 5 times a day, today I ran 10+ maps and didn't encounter her once. Today I also failed my daily. Had a 60% Fleet + 41% packsize map. Not too bad, although packsize can work against you in beyond. I cleared the whole map (had the objective relatively early) and found an Arcanist Strongbox. It had freeze on it, so I thought I would just log out. I did, but I couldn't return the quest then anymore.  Fun fact: The box didn't even include monsters. Last thing I saw when I logged out as all the currency drops and I felt so stupid for not noticing that it didn't had an implicit. | ||

Aka 1socket is equally likely as 6socket, and certain super-rare affixes like tyrannical or 6% life leech or chaos res are as likely as any other). | ||
