Then we killed a couple ez since everyone was like searing bond fireblast/trapish. Then as soon as I saw the boss I moved a bit back, started offscreening flameblast, threw 1 trap to fire it up then I just straight up died. Like oneshot not even seeing hp move from max die. The strange part was that someone was in front of me, and somehow survived. So I'm guessing he at least has some form of splash. It's not the Chatters lookalike with the bringer of bones, this guy has nothing special outside of hitting insanely hard. Is it the skeletal bear or the really big skeletons? | ||

Flicker Spider in normal before we had any dps/res/armor/hp really. And two close calls in Cruel. But the scariest I was in Cruel Sins 1. Me and a friend were killing a blue mob pack by the stairs and a big devourer pack + boss pop out, so I start running, I get to the intersection room (Easily 2-3 screens away from the stairs in that room.) and I take 1250 damage (I had 1300-1400 hp at the time.) in an empty room to what looks like to me, absolutely nothing, so I just log because I have no clue where I really am. My friend said I was behind the stairs, back in the room, and thought I had died. lol So far the actual act bosses are far easier than the unique mobs. Imo I like partying with at least one person using SB because it pulls all the aggro to the totems. | ||

The boss was not actually on my screen so I don't even know. We also had mass aoe spells :D And nugiyen, if you count the es has like 1k effective hp on me and still got oneshot. Pretty dumb tbh. Really curious how they thought that had any kind of balance in it whatsoever. Like what if you want to play melee, almost all new bosses has something oneshotty or shotgun (bringer of Rain is even nerfed as well, which was one of the few items that made melee playable lategame without insane gear). Also a lot of them has powercrit suffix, which makes the maurader tree extremely good since it's the only passive on the skilltree with minus critt damage. So even though they fucked over scion really hard, they did not really balance the skilltree (to be fair, it's much better than before, but RIP scions in racing). Instead they made it so a huge amount of hardcore build are still going to be focused on the lower leftish area with everything else either CI, ignored, or very unpopular/rippy. ps, gz varanice :^) | ||

I die at like 45seconds in and if you spam pause you can barely see the name. The funny thing is he hits greatone decently hard, but not oneshotty. And he or someone else immedeatly /oos, so I can't possibly be that desynched. So he has to splash or something because he hits someone else in the same hit. | ||

Like uh.. the blood cyclone guy, the lightning ball caster, and maybe the guy who spams 10frost novas a second on himself while spamming lightning traps, not really sure how exactly a melee is supposed to deal with that. So many of these bosses, even if you were running blind + purity element for that bosses damage type (not always possible anyways) I think you would probably still get shotgunned and die | ||

My guess is that boss does some form of AoE. If you listen to just that boss when he hits something he does some kind of "thunder"-sound with his attack. Either that, or he has a rather high change to crit and the guy in that video got lucky as fuck. That guy is an even bigger issue than e.g. the Bringer of Bones in Nemesis because he does more burst and because Searing Bond plays in a way that you might run past him, just see the skellies he spawns for half a second (because they almost instantly die) but they still obstructed your movement and made you desync. Pretty pissed that GGG keeps those Summoner things up when it's a known issue. The Desecrate/Summon Zombie/Detonate Dead Unique is no issue whatsoever since he doesn't permasummon his shit. | ||

Cloak of Defiance, maybe a Searing Touch with as much armor as I can get on the rest of the equips and a good bit of leech, might even play around and go for Vaal Pact. Crown of Eyes probably pretty good, but probably good mana/life leech jewelry would work. Searing bond (cuz OP) Spell totem + Raging Spirit + FC + Multistrike? (with minion instability) Flameblast for funsies I don't think its super viable, but hopefully efficient enough and fun. Could probably drop the minion instability (dunno if the raging spirit spam will actually be that effective) and pick up some more defense. Considering taking ghost reaver as well. Could probably start Templar for a more tanky version, but then you'd have to take Lord of the Dead which is pretty useless. | ||

What do you think of this? Searing Bond dual Totem Templar with EB/MoM. The Idea is to run high level Arctic Armor, Clarity, Discipline and Grave for tankiness while being able to maintain high SB DPS. | ||
