Version 0.9.2e
Fixed a crash that would occur if no sound card was found. Added a --nosound option to the client to turn off all sound. Fixed more bugs with inviting people to a party by right clicking on them in chat. Fixed a rare crash related to user interface scrollbars. Fixed minor quest typos. Reduced the drop rate of Mirror of Kalandra.
Yet another one!

I must weaken its power.

I was ingame when Chris made this item. He said something like "Friday night - staying up late to make items to troll the community."

I've played the beta and I gave the key to a friend after playing it for a day because of how 'rigid' it is. Game is trying to hard to be diablo 2, when what they should be doing is taking risks into new areas to define themselves with their own game.
Love the potion chugging of D2? You'll love PoE
Enjoy the 1 dimensional 'skill' usage of D2? You'll enjoy PoE
Simple minded enough to enjoy a game based on its looks and not fluidity? You'll like PoE.
The game just does not flow, it needs a lot of polishing and work before I would consider it a product worth playing. With that said I hope the developers really come into their own with this one. People love these types of games and when they are done well they can be a lot of fun. As for myself, it takes more than a little d2 nostalgia to get me invested enough to play a game like this for hours. I've already played the shit out of diablo 2 for a long time, I don't really want to play diablo 2 again, sorry.
I think you should post this on the official forums. The devs do listen to feedback.

It's simply impossible. Maplestory, despite its popularity, had to throw in double-exp in Global eventually. PoE will do the same. By what time after release do you think they will break their word and make stuff like this buyable? I wanna bet against it. Show nested quote +On September 17 2011 11:02 Sufficiency wrote: I was really surprised that the developers claim they will make in-game stats respec'ing possible through rare items (thus implying that it's not through microtransactions). IMO that is one of the best places to put microtransactions without impacting gameplay (it's just the matter of paying or making a new character). The devs do not want easy, full respecs in the game. The currency item (note: ingame currency) that resets one skill point will be rather rare. Here's what they wrote on this: Show nested quote +The purpose of this system is to allow players to fix mistakes in their build, or to do small-scale respecs. We do not want players to be able to completely respec their entire character easily. The game is designed to be fun to play, so if you want to play a Bow character rather than an Axe character, you’re meant to start a new one. Note that if you are extremely high level and very wealthy in game, it’s possibly worth trading for enough respec currency items to perform the changes rather than play to such a high level with that character again. This is a choice we want the player to have to make. There won't be respecs as microtransactions because it is considered buying a more versatile character, which is buying power.
Let's look at how Maplestory is generating income. I choose this because this is one of my most-played F2P game amongst many which I actually played.... in 07-08. In Maplestory people can:
- cosmetics - pets, which can automatically pick up items (saves a lot of time while grinding) - double exp - respec
amongst others.
Also, double exp was not in Maplestory Global initially; but from what I heard it was later on added. Why would they do such a thing?
Oh wait, to generate more income. By the time that was added there are already too many players who invested too much time into the game to quit because of that one item.
Simple bait, my friend.

Great news. I definitely have more friends that need to get in lol

I've gotten a key due to the niceness of TL and I'm sad to say:
This game is a major letdown, it's one of the worst Diablo2-Clones out there.
Here are some of the reasons:
It has very one-dimensional gameplay. You can get through the entire game using just one spell. Most of the time you'll just drink potions like crazy. It's fine, since they refill quickly without having to pick them up, but it's still annoying. It's like a less fluent version of Diablo 2 with sick gear.
