Still can't find a good thicket ^_^ I'm tempted to blow my chaos pile on one, but I'm also so close to 66 that I want to hold out for an imperial and craft that instead.

I have a question about Culling Strike. It kills enemies on 10% life or less when hit by supported skills, does that mean if i hit something on full health and it would survive on 10%hp it would die or do I have to hit it again? If it is the latter then wouldnt I kill something on only 10%hp on my next shot most of the time anyway? Or is it something more used for bosses?

Double totem + double curse, just dun have the spell totems (nor curses) yet.

I'm pretty sure when they are hit to 10% or less they die. It might even work if you hit them then the hp goes to 10% very very shortly after, similar to how infernal blow or dominating blow works. It is a ton more useful for mobs with a lot of hp or crazy regen.

I suppose I should have been more vigilant about replacing my truly terrible gear, but it seems like such a waste to spend an Alch (or more) on random low-mid level gear that you kinda out-grow pretty fast anyways :/

And nobody selling rares in trade chat seem to be interested in much less than an alch per rare.

Pierce is mostly worthless but it's the only thing worth putting in the combo. I used to use fork but pierce seemed to out perform it (im only lv39). I clear insanely fast without chain as of Act1 cruel so I can't imagine what it will be like once I have my real combo. I will replace pierce with chain whenever I get one and then look for a 5L to add loh/leech.

If you replace Pierce with Chain your mana cost will go sky high.

I know devmoon links these babies with fire trap. They also give bonus damage as they level. Also it is really low mana costly.
Firetrap is a good skill to link these as it is DoT and culling will just activate at one moment and kill stuff :D

yeah unfortunately that's the endgame build I'm going for.

Pierce stacks very well with projectile weakness. Chain, not so much. But pierce only shines in large groups, and most of the hard stuff in this game seems to come in small groups.

Yeah I only have pierce thrown in cause I don't have any other support gem to fill in it's place yet. Until I have a 5L/6L and the appropriate gems, I'll keep using this. I mostly use this combo for multiple mobs and fire arrow with faster projectiles and crit damage (again just because) and I've had a lot of early success. I should probably start trading to get some appropriate stuff instead of relying on self found now that I'm in cruel. My gear really isn't too bad though, this game is so good. ^^

My god the "nobody else can die"-modifier with a room full of ice mages and chaos constructs is like the whole waterfall dungeon for my poor witch. Maybe pure glass cannon isn't the best idea lol.

is enduring cry actually worth it? im running it right now and i planned to keep it on my dw crit/lifeleech duelist, but maybe there are better defensive options. (already running grace)

Enduring cry is basically required for any armor-based build. It gets really tedious, which is part of why people don't like to play melee in PoE at the moment. It also helps to not kill yourself on physical reflect mobs.

So I don't mind the soundtrack in this game, but at least for me nostalgia has really taken over and I've been playing with the D2 OST on in the background, and not only is it as good as ever, but I think it really fits the mood of the game. If you were a fan of Diablo, I'd highly recommend at least giving it a shot.

I'd say it helps a lot if you're doing a lot of summoning but if you're going to drop it then maybe not. Even if its not the main focus of your build having a spell totem with minion instability is always a nice way to tank a room of mobs.

Ok thanks for the culling strike info. It just saved my life against Kraityn, damn its beast! It is pretty damn cheap mana wise for the power it adds, definately a keeper
