Random tree is a bit meh but fun for a couple of days Sentinel + Lake sound really nice, too bad it's only 7 days  Mayhem 2.0 seem fun, will be probably pretty intense first coule of zone/acts | ||

If I'm perfectly honest, I would recommend maxing fire, lightning and cold res before maps. It's not hard to to with bench crafting and if necessary you can use purity of elements which is a really good defensive aura anyway because shock and freeze immunity is great and ignite immunity helps also against some things. | ||

For a lot of players. I tend to just alch and go and that leads to deaths every now and then. Lvl 97 is the highest I ever reached, usually I stop at lvl 93-95 because not dying for so long would require me to play the game more safely which I don't really want. | ||

I solo to level 100 every league. I design my builds to include defenses (despite playing in softcore), contrary to the norm. Usually I alch 50-100 maps at a time and just use a regex to quickly reroll the most problematic mods. That alone cuts down on a huge percentage of deaths. That said, on league start I normally don't worry about dying until the mid 90s, since exp is so fast until about 93 and it's easier to build glass when you're impoverished. With the 5x penalty I expect that point to come a lot sooner. I'm really going to miss Defiance of Destiny. My FR build this league could AFK in 100% delirium and the HP bar would barely move. I ran mirrors earlier in the league on my Sparker with 100% taken as & 90% max res, but defensively that was nothing compared what defiance of destiny added. I expect that Kalandra will not be worth doing at all if your goal is just speed leveling. Sentinels will probably still be good despite the added danger, though I honestly can't remember all the specifics of what they do to the mobs. I might change my mind later. Unfortunately I expect that we'll get too few recombinators before 95 for their existance to matter. | ||

I'm not super sure if I'm going to play the events. Kinda want to keep on progressing on TOTA league. Want to keep on enjoying tattoos while they are around. I won't play fast enough for 1 week of Sentinel to be interesting | ||

I think it's overall a less enjoyable experience, but probably improves your odds of winning if you're capable of leveling to 95. | ||

And knowing myself, if I play the Krangle one, I'm done with PoE until the next league. But I'm one of the minority that didn't like Sentinel league very much. Kalandra was meh at best. So it's fine. I think I would like the last of the 3 events the best. | ||

Agree with what EchelonTee said considering resists etc. my primary attack is heavy strike with 3 support skills. for more damage i use warchief totem, vulnerability curse, blood stance and the fire golem (15% more dps iirc). for defence determination aura. other skills are frostblink and leap slam to escape and frost bomb to fight mosnters with high regeneration (these are my bigggest problem right now). my resists (fire, cold and light) are like 80, 70, 55 o something like that. i looking for better gear i had some maps in my inventory that dropped from some monster and were pretty normal. the maps from the npc are on another level xD | ||

Your choices are pretty reasonable, though golems are a pain to keep alive. Without getting into the math of how damage calculation works, "increased damage" doesn't provide that much per point. 15% increased is probably in the neighborhood of 1-4% actual damage depending on other stats. I recommend giving ancestral protector and flame dash a try. You can stick with what you're using, but it's worth looking at your other options. Frostblink has the advantage of being usable mid-leap, but flame dash has multiple charges. Pride and/or Herald of Purity can both add a good amount of damage if you can fit them. | ||
