Tbh anything with a decent lifepool should do alright be it Slayer/Glad/Champion/Jugg. Glad is a crazy raceclass now with all the free MS/AS for example. I also specifically stayed away from melee because I didn't have time to deal with the new tree and whatnot so I'm afraid I won't be of much help. I'd be wary of melee below 180% for sure though. Probably to stupid to use frenzy / endurance mechanic perfectly anyway. Lost quite a bit of damage but with new skills might be offset. https://pastebin.com/ybkBixXE 7200 in queue! I wasn't sure which skill to use, which weapons to use and which ascendancy... So i tried. Dual Strike, Viper Strike, Frost Blades, Blade Flurry, Cyclone and just grabbed Phys-DMG nodes on the tree. So, my tree is probably horrible, which means: I gotta fix this somehow. Cyclone by itself still does some actual damage and I would like to keep it that way but i guess thats not really an option in the long run? Can someone tell me how i actually make the Poison from the Assassin Ascendancy do some damage by itself? Atm i just poison enemies and get the various buffs but the poison damage seems to be basically useless? How do you get decent poison damage? I don't want a pure poison character but the poison should do at least some dps (killing white stragglers and so on)? Else i probably would be better off with the Power Charge stuff or Trickster? Trickster would most likely be smarter anyway but well, i'm a special snowflake. I will get two 5/6 Links, one is the CWC setup, thats clear. What would you do with the other? I'll probably do a Doublestrike-Setup just for Vaal-DS (or BV) but that seems like a bit of a waste? Btw: Vaal-BV + Vaal-Double Strike + Vaal-Cyclone = Total Slaughter. It just deletes all but the most tanki map bosses/Legion rares, even Vaal-Cyclone seems decent now? I remember it being basically a death trap but now it feels pretty safe to use (if the ground under you isn't allready telegraphed to blow up)? Help would be appreciated. | ||

...and playing melee feels twice as hard as ranged. Thinking about it I've might have spent too much on damage nodes when I need survivability but I felt slow. In synthesis league I think I only ripped once (didn't know the Brine King mechanics well enough) but I've died like 10 times this league (on sc) and I'm only in act 8 so far. Stuff I learned:

Porcupines arent that bad provided you: dont kill a whole pack at once, have some armor/eva, have a good amount of life. Innocence and brine king is mostly learning the mechanics. Innocence is probably the hardest boss besides kitava imo. And yeah melee is harder to play, until you get some nice aoe going at least . | ||
