"legacy league after wipe? sort of. it won't be called legacy, it will be default. the shorter term leagues (eg 2-3 month) will be the new "frontier" and default will be where old leagues migrate to" 1 As for hardcore, I am unsure about the specifics they have planned. I think you can expect a lot of different hardcore leagues to play in since no death has been working well in races. Cut throat has been discussed a few times in cut throat event threads and they have been pretty clear about wanting to keep cut throat leagues to short duration races (less than a day!) for the time being. Right now they are still trying to find an appropriate format where leveling vs pvp is more balanced. Just counting kills or just counting experience has not been what is needed! On the whole subject of races: - orb rewards from races: feel pretty good about where it is now. may group races together into "seasons" for points and a metaladder (good idea!). there will be a new demigod-like item for events post OB On the subject of pvp, Chris has mentioned bracketed pvp-tournaments being tested pre-alpha and hopefully it will make it into the game around open beta.
