http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/48302 have a summoner up to Lvl 71 it hasn't really felt grindy to me yet, but I'm sure its going to get more noticeable as I level up now I honestly care more about acquiring maps though than leveling since maps are end game content while my build already worked well enough at Lvl 60 I've only done maps up to Lvl 62 though, but I've pooled 9 skill points and have 4 refund skills at my disposal if I end up needing to get more passives to help with survival | ||

I wasnt paying attention. I died once. Got hit by some frozen bolt things on really low lvl and just died in 3 seconds :D Thats kinda funny because I almost died quite a few times in this game lol | ||

Just make a character and try to get it to level 65. if you can get that high then you will have learned enough to start to actually plan a build. I did the same as you, but you really need to learn the hard way (by building sucky characters first) if you want to understand why builds do or do not work. | ||

I would look at taking some or all of the "diamond skin", "celerity", "Trolls blood" and some of the normal +% life passives. They are easy to get and the cost in damage is likely small if you sacifice some of the small attack speed and damage points. | ||
