Tbh I might check the idea of going CI for mines too, 20% regen might just be enough for it to feel tanky. :D But in contrast to my other idea of using only life with The Covenant you'd still have to deal with crappy mana management.

Idk people whining about the patch not having enough changes are pretty stupid

Ascendancy reworks is a colossal amount of balance effort

Also the league is self-evidently an incredibly high effort league. I think it's a terrible league in execution but that doesn't mean it wasn't a ton of effort. Designing all the encounters is one thing, but balancing the crafting options is a huge amount of effort as well, plus tweaking mob appearance rates etc.

I kinda agree, and it feels enough for me to want to play again. Still, it's GGG who said 3.2 will be where skill balance changes will be at when people cried about the low amount of these changes last league.

I think this is where all the daily announcements prior to the patch notes bite them, especially since they literally showcased most of the exciting stuff already.

I don't know, they accidentally made a 'up to 180% more damage' node so I don't know if I agree that there's a lot of careful behind the scenes math being distilled into this. Last patch's Abyss and Shaped/Elder items are famously insane, how much careful balance work went into those stat sticks?

I didn't say they didn't put effort in. Obviously the challenge league had a lot of effort but it's the same as always. Their metrics say pooping out new content they can advertise, no matter how bad or shortsighted it is, is the best thing for MTX sales. Actual changes that shakeup the tree or the 75%+ of skill gems that may as well be deleted keep getting ignored, even though they specifically promised it last patch.

Hmm, I think I'd better scrap the Magma Orb miner idea. Part of why self cast Magma Orb works well against bosses is that you can pre-fire, while mines aim directly at the target. With Gloomfang that's extra bad since the last chain deals the most damage.

For hit chance for sure but it gives me 230% inc crit chance with use of Oskarm and gives 115% inc attack speed from Jugg ascendancy.
For a shield throw I can also equip Obscurantis and get 115% inc projectile damage

Yeah those are pretty juicy numbers. I'm looking forward to Jugg a lot, even if I'm still iffy on the accuracy node for my needs. PoB time :D

Yeah, but I wouldn't wanna play it self cast tbh... Deadeye would be the best I'd assume. I wouldn't go Gloomfang with it though, since it would prolly hurt too much.

Like Deadeye that gives lots of bonus More damage if you hit enemy with first Magma orb before chaining starts

Probably worth mentioning that if you run 3 curses on occultist it's already better than harness the void (although it does have a 4s on kill timer which is pretty restrictive)

Enemies take 10% more damage too, so it's really only 1 curse needed.

Occultist is pretty insane but it's hard for me to think of a skill to use besides ED and RF. ED is great but I don't want to play that again (+ trickster is a superior mapper), and RF occultist is super micro intensive. any ideas?
