Edit: also how smart would it be to try this as league starter? I can use tabula for a while and then only need to buy lioneye jewel and eventually signal fire (can use the avatar of fire until then). Chin sol should not be too expensive.



Mechanically thats probably gonna be pretty miserable, with the totem placement followed by the delay on blast rain, the totems might even have trouble staying alive as you will want to place them close to enemies due to point blank.

Belt of the deciever is probably not worth running as you wont be close enough to apply it most of the time, you have barely any regen and no leech so its all health pots.

The gear you have on it currently is also pretty damn good, so it would be much weaker as a start.

BR totems sound pretty memey but it just seems really weak, you can do like 3x the damage without them, have more life, and leech.

I don't mind playing a bit slower. Totems only need to fire once to kill packs. I can get the "cannot be stunned" jewel if I need to.

Yea I was thinking about putting a rare belt but I wanted to see the damage with this one. How close do you need to be anyways? I need to stay close for that inquisitor ability anyways that makes enemies receive more elemental damage.

Yes gear is something I would try to buy for red maps and by lvl 90. I don't need 300k dps per totem before high red maps.

Why does it seem weak? I was watching a streamer(Nugi) put together a raider/slayer or something with similar setup but without totems. He did 600k damage with better gear, this ones does same damage but needs two totems out.
OK I got no leech but only boss fights need you to dish out so much damage and you don't need to run up to bosses, your totems will.

Nah, is glorious starter of league and I can get meme value out of being a Jugg while doing more damage than all the RF Berserkers that will be running around. Also I'm Cycloning with that build too! I'll just play that skill all day, it feels so great on beta.

Been away from PoE since essence league. Planning on doing a SSF HC char but I really dont know what build to choose. Maybe a totem build but what would you guys recommend?

For general mapping something like
would be interesting.

If you aim to be a (map) boss killer, you probably need to play Ancestral Warchief Totem builds but I don't like them very much aside from that.

Something like:
Cyclone+CoH+Flammability+Inc Crit+additional Accuracy (and some not fire damage on hit to apply EE debuff to enemies)? You get to curse them, apply EE and EO all at once :D And you are immune to Stun while cycloning.
Could also work well with new Charged Dash that does Lightning damage automatically.

Last time I played RF I didn't use Cyclone at all. Archangel your setup would mean he has to 5L his Cyclone, so he can't 5L RF (which would be good now; or I'm wrongly remembering that there is a new support gem for it now). Or you use Kaom and can't do it anyway.

Orb of Storms + CoH + Flammability + Inc Crit did both EE and EO for me. Moving with Shield Charge + Fortify + Faster Attacks + Bloodmagic.

If I randomly fivelink a belly or something I'd throw in Accuracy but the end goal is Kaom's anyway. Curse gets done via Witchfire if I want something offensive or cwdt enfeeble if I want something defensive.

RF goes into Delirium gloves for that sweet 30% more multi. Gonna end up expensive to craft decent ones in the long run, don't think I'll go deep into those quickly, should work well enough without them. Shaper's Seed is the only unique I'm a bit worried about that I'll have to fight people for.

I'd rather use Essence of Horror on helmet and put RF there, less important mods to roll than for gloves. Like, gloves can brick with flat fire damage and you will probably want attack speed or a free mod slot for it.

I like Horror as well, makes it easier to go for that curse on hit corruption on gloves.

So umm... I put together a Berserker memebuild in PoB, then added a 5L Dark pact. Result was nearly 10k life with almost 170k dps. In addition, you can toss some CwDT on a 4-link and grab Cloaked in Savagery so you never die to anything bar 1-shots. Granted, due to Dark Pact self damage and 10% extra dmg a berserker takes, you probably need to be hit for 8.5-9k straight damage to die.

This morning the gem information was datamined and even with that version I can still get about 130k dps on Dark Pact.

How big is the AoE of it though? I expect it to be similar small like Blade Vortex.

Not sure about it's base AoE since I never saw the skill in action, but I did take both Amplify and Blast Radius. I mentioned it because I'm impressed at how much damage you can get by stacking life. Right now only 15 points are spent on straight up damage/aoe, everything else is either life or pathing nodes (295% life on the tree before jewels, take that ES!).

You need Vaal Pact and you don't need Cloaked In Savagery. Your DPS is so big you leech more than your full life with just 3% life leech. My version had over 1 mil damage.

Lets see how final version looks, but I am getting fed up with their ignite changes. I am putting Ignite on hold for now.

Ok I played around a bit more with that idea of Chin Sol+ Point Blank+ Blast Rain totems.
Inquisitor was cool but lots of fiddling around trying to keep all charges up, using diamond flask and stuff.

So I made a bit simpler but equally good Berserker version.

Over 8000 ehp, 350 000 dps per totem to map bosses (with Vaal Haste active, but not Vaal LT active) while they are near totems. I can replace Point Blank gem with something else for map farming if I don't feel like placing all totems near packs.
I got gem slots empty, kind of ran out of idea what to put there so put self cast Scorching Ray for additional debuff :D. Probably should put CwDt+ Enfeeble or something.

Cool thing about this is that Berserker's Rite of Ruin gives a permanent 25% attack speed to totems since you never kill anyone, only your totems do.

I am seriously considering this as my starter build instead of Mirror/Blink arrow Necro. I can run any kind of fire totems with this build until I get Chin Sol.
Any suggestions?

Opinion on taking Alira as a crit 2-hander ?

The res is extremely nice for lvling and in general since it's harder to cap res without a shield or quiver. Also since many nerfs crit multi source is a scarcity now so getting 20% from Alira sounds pretty enticing.

But 2 skill points are 2 skill points though, so I'm not sure at all.
