they nerf the meta builds to oblivion and buff some random/new skills. if you are not doing a current meta build you should be pretty safe.

Explosive arrow is gonna be a solid choice for next league, predicting something to happen with ignite immunity.

they won't remove ignite immunity until they fix double dipping. its the only way to not have every bosses in the game be trivialised with grand spectrum builds.

Well, BV would need to take a very huge hit if they want it to go out of meta. Probably a harder hit than Spark took. 20% dmg of current BV would still be enough to reach crazy DPS with the right Ascendancy/Gear. I don't think it will. I'm expecting some nerf though.

You are right, I must have mistook it for Scorching Ray as at the time I was looking at all 3 skill. I have switched Flame Totem for Incinerate to test it as well. So far it works similarly.

That new shield could be nice for Flameblast totems, allowing you to forego ancestral bond so you can apply EE with selfcast spells.

EE can still be triggered with AB, using OoS. Still a good shield though, I think combined with AB having 3 totems without any damage loss is pretty ridiculous, 4 if you consider soul mantle.

Do you really need 3 totems?

I was thinking if with this shield you can skip the whole templar area, and make a dual totem LL crit build and focus on ES instead of wasting points on AB and stuff. You will have less auras but you can use those points for possibly as good things :D
AW totems cost little mana, and with BM from shield you would not need much life regen to upkeep that.

other than pre-nerf invasion (which also drove a ton of players away), not really. you can still ran past the bosses easily unless its one of the few crazier ones in which case most people simply avoid it.

If you should be able to avoid mechanics that you deem are too challenging or unrewarding then it is better game design to force an activation. If there's one thing GGG learned from invasion I think it's that.

I wonder how popular the cast while channeling support gem mentioned in the podcast will be. Seems like the triggered spells will be the focus - the cost of giving up two or more support gem slots from your main skill feels too steep...well, maybe using it to trigger EE for your scorching ray?

Using spells with longer cast times than the trigger time seems to be the way to go to take some advantage of faster effective cast rate since you're already giving up two support gem slots to link it with a channeled spell. But maybe it'll be effective if two spells are linked. And if it's just less spell damage rather than less damage, maybe you could trigger SRS (probably not worth it) or detonate dead or something?
