Yea, I saw the Ascension classes when I logged on for a bit the other day and after looking at the passives on the site, I was like @_@ "wut." Super OP. I'm still divided which way to go with my Marauder but I'd probably just make him even more tanky than he already is.

All those people that complain that D3 is too bright can definitely get their fix of colorlessness in PoE.

God I hate the Daresso fight. Even more than the Malachai fight. Malachai is just a huge clusterfuck. But Daresso... fuck this guy. I think this is the first time I ripped before maps since Invasion and there I only died once before maps on lvl 3, rofl.
Also just spent 200 alts to roll flasks. Perfect.

Daresso is one of the faster temp fights which is pretty punishing for non-armor characters. Still he's not too bad, just avoid clouds of swords, wait till his rage thing runs out after each form and cull him

Yup, especially if you got some armor.
Oh and don't do Daresso/Kaom/Malachai on Merciless, it's not useful unless for the challenge (in which case you can do it at lvl 90 or whatever).

ive run a ton of alts this league and that's how ive gotten maps for the challege lel, better than alching a few and then vendoring for unID'd ones

Still missing 3, good idea with the alching+selling. Should be even cheaper than buying, considering they sell for 3c (on PSC).

Yeah dunno, I was a bit too laid back but I died from neither the swords nor the 6 statue buttfuck. I died from his reave-like attack. Well maybe he also summoned a sword in me, didn't see it, but I died pretty quickly. I dunno, the fight just isn't fun to me and I can't imagine doing it as a melee (as in, it's doable but so far removed from being fun that I wouldn't even attempt it).

Actually Daresso is fairly easy for melee chars with decent Armor and Fortify (which are things melee chars should have). If you don't get hit from the ice thing he doesn't hit very hard.

I assumed all he does is insane cold damage. Alright, it might not be so bad then.
I don't know whether I will level another character though. My first rip didn't really bother me that much. I know it was my own fault and I moved on. Here it felt like bullshit and I'm mad. Maybe I will after a few days of cooling off...

My strategy was to alch and then vaal. If it turns unided I run it for the challenge, if it gets 8 mods I use it for the other challenge. Covered quite a few. Since I started with a rarity character I also got quite a few yellow map drops from regular mapping.
Re Daresso fight:Having a flame totem (and searing bond totem ideally) helps a ton because you can essentially focus on avoiding his attacks. And if you keeping moving in that fight and avoid the sword clouds it's imo not very hard (armor + capped cold res does help a ton though).

Geez... PoE servers down again. Luckily I usually don't play when they are down, but damn... like twice a day this league. I've been playing for 3 years or so, and it has never been this bad.

Yeah kind of. Chris confirmed that each new league starts with a new player peak basically (see here: link). Though of course the numbers are dwindling atm considering the league is getting older and older.
