OP spell builds these days are Spark (preferably with voltaxic + drillneck) and Blade Vortex. Slightly less spell-ish but the new Ice Trap (maybe chaos converted xd) and Bladefall mines are also very strong in their own ways. | ||

Trappers seem very popular in that league/race thing due to the safe mechanics and fairly low investment required in damage. Really, the game has never been more reasonable from a self-found perspective due to the availability of gems from vendors and especially Cadiro's ability to sell you all sorts of interesting uniques. | ||

 I don't know if you could make the guardian wear windscream for +1 curse or if you'd have to have the extra curse yourself (or both LOL). @nepeta Bladefall witch will work just fine solo self found  | ||

Option 1: Physical 2H'er, 2x ming's heart, lightbane raiment - gives me 70% of my original phys as chaos - and the shadow starting nodes give me increased physical and the juicy double dipping chaos together. But if I path mostly around that area and focus on chaos damage nodes, will the scaling be mediocre without the usual 2h melee nodes? Option 2: Physical 1H'er, consuming dark off-hand (legacy? might as well fuck around in standard), infernal mantle, pyre, added fire, hatred, herald of ash, etc. Putting all of it together seems like it gives me more of the original damage as chaos, and I can scale physical, elemental, and chaos - but 1H'er is a weaker starting point. Option 3: Elemental 1H, with some similarities to option 2 with consuming dark, pyre, etc? From my initial theorycrafting this seems the weakest of the options. (There's also incinerate, which has more damage per stage, unlike flameblast, which is more spell damage per stage. Hmm....) | ||
