For farming I like Shock Nova and Arc and am currently using Flame Surge as third spell for more single target damage (proccing burn with a +fire dmg amulet and always crit with weapon) plus Controlled Destruction as support gem. What I especially want to know is which setup would maximize single target damage (for when I finally am able to challenge Izaro on Merciless). I only want elemental spells because I also use Elemental Overload which is a huge buff to elemental damage. I'm thinking Freezing Pulse + Flame Surge + maybe Magma Orb? Proccing Shock would be nice but I don't think Izaro can be shocked with non crit Shock Nova or Arc. conc surge storm sounds pretty good though. At some point pen seems better than another spell if you are all fire dmg. Especially vs bosses who are always resistant right. | ||

I'm using Elemental Weakness and Warlord's Mark with Blasphemy. But I doubt Elemental Weakness will remove most of Izaro's resistances considering curses have lowered efficiency against bosses. Still, how much does he have? 30%? 50%? If it's 50% or more I think fire penetration and the pure fire setup would easily be better. | ||

Will need to check, my first search didn't help me will do again. Yeah true about the mana costs, but I think it would still be OK. Controlled Destruction doesn't change mana costs of Cyclone at all though. I think one support with >40% more dmg or ele pen is a must for sure instead of using 4 spells. Two supports or more on the other hand does not sound like a good idea. edit: Found this. Could be accurate and would mean Izaro has 45 resistances at merciless without any buffs. So Fire Pen is probably better than Conc Effect. | ||

WTB Cats on Critical Strike gem PS quick math indicates izaro still takes more dmg via conc effect than fire pen even if he qualifies as a "map/act boss". Conc effect does have utility issues with cyclone though. | ||

Even more so considering Firestorm will do more single dps with Conc Effect. But idk, like you said decreased AoE on Cyclone might mean lots of less hits so I don't think it'll be better in practice. | ||

although you might find it useful to keep the ping one showing. useful when you see the graph flatline so you know you're about to get disconnected lol.. | ||
