Hey guys, i'm having a huge problem with EU3. I bought the pack(via steam) that the first post recommended, but everytime I hit 1420 ++ it starts to lag badly. For every day that goes by the game completely stops or well chops away onto the next day.
My PC is quite good so that should not be the problem, so if anyone has a solution to the problem I would be forever thankful.
More than enough HDD space. SSD for windows, with 90gb free space.
My PC runs at around 60 C max, so that should not be the problem either, no dust or anything like that stopping my pc from preforming.
I can play games like Bad Company 2 on full specs and so on so its not rly my setup from what I understand atleast :O
I know this might not be the place to ask, but i'll try my luck anyway. I've fallen in love with the game, so I would like to thank Fruscainte for recommending it to us here on TL

He's talking about your save files becoming huge. Right now I'm waiting to get my new cdkey from paradox so I can read their tech support forum and actually fix my savefile problem. Right now I have 5 savefiles with 3 of them at 300 MB and 2 of them at 800 MB. When I try to load or save anything my game just takes forever to load.

If you get this problem it's apparently to do with resigning and then going back into the game without exiting the game. One workaround is to delete the contents of the achievements.txt file, as the problem is the save file for some reason keeps duplicating it each time you resign and go back in without quitting.
The first game I've actually taken seriously.* Started as Aragon, Portugal was my only loyal ally. Had some really close calls against France and Castille, conquered a lot and then lost it all, but eventually united Spain through a Personal Union with Portugal. Lots of colonies, largest army, and highest income!
..If only my inflation weren't so high. I can't seem to get it down! Otherwise, complete success. I'm not sure whether it's worth playing out (almost all of Spain/South American colonies are cores) and unless something really funky happens there's no stopping me
My biggest issue was revolts. They didn't really cost me much, but I had to spend a hell of a lot of time dealing with them--and it's especially frustrating that most of them look EXACTLY LIKE my soldiers. Is there anyway around this? Any mods to change the uniforms, or any advice on keeping revolts low?

@State, regarding your black flags have you tried going to your flags gfx folder and renamed the flagfiles.dds file ?
If not try going there (steam-steamapps-common-eu3-gfx-flags) and right click the flagfiles.dds file and click rename then either rename it to the same or just press enter, it worked for me when I had the same problem with the flags.

Also does anyone know why my Australian gold producers give no trade income? They produce 1 gold each but it the trade window is only 0/0 in income/trade... I don't get it :s

So uh, pretty perplexed here. I made an account after long time lurking because this is an...interesting turn of events.
I was in a Regency Council, my Heir was growing up. When he turned 16, he became King. A month later my succession was safe, my 16 year old king had an heir that was 10 years old. I know for a FACT that my old king did not have two kids. So, I guess my king was ballin' at a young age.

the new heir you got probably was one of other marriages.
In a tab you can find a list with all available heirs and when it will be their turn.

Colony income not gathered as trade or production income. There should be another thingy where your colony income is.
