I remembered a Japanese player (either Momochi or Tokido, i think) saying that adding in Yun & Yang and tweaking some frame data in AE made the game "new" for about a couple months and then it's just same old Street Fighter again - and people were losing interest in the game.
I remember Daigo wanted a guard crush bar for SF4 because defensive turtling + throw tech clash animation time into neutral position slows down the pace of the game too much for his liking. He compared it to two boxers that repeatedly kept clinching and holding on to each other throughout a fight which he finds boring.
At least diago gets a level 2 FA unblockable for turtles now!

Even though I'm still a bit skeptical about adding new mechanics in Ultra, I'm still thinking that Capcom will make sure that Ultra is a good game. For being as asymmetrical as AE 2012 is, I think that it is a relatively well-balanced game (I've never liked the concept of tier-lists and I don't agree with that Cammy = IMBA IMBA IMBA NERF NOW). I think Capcom would lose a lot if they made Ultra a bad game.

I don't play Cammy, I just happen to be a big fan of Popi. And I was suspecting that people would start complaining about Cammy (consider what happened not too long ago) when I mentioned that I think that AE 2012 is pretty well balanced for being an asymmetrical game.

Popi plays a lot of characters, no need to worry about him.
He streams quite a lot recently, playing other characters.
His Ryu is really good.

Oh, and I'm probably the only person who cares about it at this forum, but the new season of the Swedish E-Sports Championships is underway. The first of the 8 qualifiers started last weekend.
Ettelman certainly got a few new fans this weekend. He usually mains Adon, by he showed that he's really good with Evil Ryu and Makoto as well. He also had the best individual play of the weekend, activating E.Ryu's U1 at the exact right time as his opponent Yagami (playing Bison) teleported backwards

Option select I suppose? On the Cammy front, rumor has it that the fifth character will be some type of doll. I guess it's better than another shoto.

I sure hope it's not that because that's the most lazy character they could make.

I know nothing of the comics, it's just a picture of a character people think is the 5th one of Ultra. Not much spoiler I think in it.

Damn I was hoping for Karin. Anyway that Bison Doll is named Decapre. I wouldn't necessarily mind her being in the game as long as she plays unique. Nothing is official yet though so who knows.
I used to really like using Juni in SF:A3.
