I chose the stick because I liked the art significantly more than the street fighter cross tekken art work. However, I noticed that the buttons are slightly different than the cross tekken buttons. Could this be a long term problem, or is it nothing to worry about? If you are talking about the layout, it shouldn't be a huge problem. Most of the time you wont take your hand off the buttons anyway so the layout isn't much of an issue. Some people find the Noir/Astro City layout more comfortable. It's like those slanted ergonomic keyboards. Once your hands are on the keys its pretty much the same to type with.

Is the stick good? Also, I love Fei Long. How can I learn how to use him? What should my plan in the game be? Where should I watch? How should I respond to what the other person is doing? etc etc etc Are the challenges good for learning tricks? I already have it on 3DS, so I'm thinking of learning the moves there till I get the stick and PS3 version. This feels like when I first started playing Brood War competetively :D

Shoryuken.com forums should be the best place to learn from veterans the newcomer forum and character specifics. Other sources could be Eventhubs.com and video tutorials about general strategy like the First Attack series at http://YouTube.com/UltraChenTV DS might be okay for a start and help you understand concepts and strats but obviously will need to practice on the past to get the true feel of the game

I want to become better at Super Street Fighter IV, so I'm thinking of buying the Arcade Edition and this: http://www.productwiki.com/upload/images/mad_catz_street_fighter_iv_round_2_arcade_fightstick_tournament_edition.jpg Is the stick good? Also, I love Fei Long. How can I learn how to use him? What should my plan in the game be? Where should I watch? I already have it on 3DS, so I'm thinking of learning the moves there till I get the stick and PS3 version. This feels like when I first started playing Brood War competetively :D The stick is great and should last you quite a long time. The challenges are good for learning the ropes of how combos work in this game, but most of them aren't practical in a real match. That said they will improve your execution by a lot, but I'm not sure if the moves on the 3DS are identical to the real game. Fei Long is mostly about his rekka (the QCF+P move where he steps forward and punches up to 3 times). If your spacing is right you will have slight frame advantage all the time. That means some of your attacks will have a very high priority. You'll want to stay close and get your opponent to try and throw/attack you so you can land a combo off a counter hit. The character forums at www.shoryuken.com are as good a place to start as any. Also watch some replays of good Fei Long players (Mago, frostmaelstrom are the only well-known ones I can think of right now) on youtube. Pay attention to when they use rekka and how they follow it up. This will be your most important skill. http://www.youtube.com/user/0ShinAkuma0/videos http://www.youtube.com/user/XblackvegetaX/videos http://www.youtube.com/user/teamspooky/videos

See the post above you. Shoryuken.com has all the info you need but the community is very.....bipolar (to put it nicely). Lots of people who will post useful info but an equal amount of trolls. You can also search youtube for Vesper Arcade's tutorials that are extremely indepth and also search for CrossCounterTV's Ryu Guide by Air, one of the best Ryu players. I think only a part of it is available on youtube but the rest is available to download as a torrent.

SRK has a section specifically for new players and their questions. Stickys there cover things like terminology, choice of controller, basic execution, etc. In addition to what you find there, I'd recommend watching the VesperArcade SF4 tutorial. It starts up a bit slow and it's certainly long, but it covers just about all the knowledge about mechanics you'll need to know.
