On a positive note, Blackfogger has came forward with all the money that he has promiced to ONE at the moment. I have nothing negative to say about Blight so far. Im sad to hear about the situation with the CSS team though.

Im sad to hear about the situation with the CSS team though. I think you are missing the issue here Fire. The issue is Blight ALWAYS comes up with the upfront money. Then he says he will send the team to the event. Then at the last minute, when there is no other option he comes up with some crazy excuse how just pay for it now and he will pay it back, then he never does. So the issue is not now, it's later. Also to associate yourself with a company that repeatedly does shady things and rips people off is just bad PR. A company is about the image they project, it's why teams like EG and TL have such high reputations, when you hear the names EG and TL they create for the most part positive emotions. I know when I think of ONE now, I think of Blight, and positive emotions and thoughts do NOT follow after that. Going to hate to see ONE possibly by the huge rift of being with a dishonest and far from legit sponsor. How happy will the players be if they go to MLG, then find out AT THE HOTEL that they have to pay? It will cause problems. You are too busy looking at the couple $ that they gave you now, and not the future. If you read one of the 500 horror stories about Blight on the internet, it was NEVER the upfront money that was the problem, it was after that.

I am just a manager of a team. Scott (Rumcake) and James (BlackFogger) were the one's who sat down and really talked about the situations and what Blight would bring to ONE. All I was saying is ONE is secured and has taken every action possible to make sure that we will be secure 100% thru everything. More power to you I guess. It's still really bad for ONE's image to get involved with a team like that. But I guess whatever, I don't run the team......

Like Fireflash said, we were not put in a situation that we could possibly lose out on at this point. If something were to go wrong like this and some funds were to not come through, my players will still be staying at the same hotel and not a dime would come out of their pockets. As for people asking why I would verbally agree to anything with an organization like this I'll try to answer that. I think there is very few teams in SC2 that are in the position to turn down financial support. The amount of money we have been given already has taken care of us already in a few ways. While I know it might not seem like the best option for a team like us, financially it has been good to ONE so far. I promise to keep the community up to date with how the agreement goes, and if it falls through Ill tell everyone exactly how it went down. So far though, things have been good for us.

I really dig ONE, but I feel that it might be time to start looking for better sponsorship. As Diamond has been saying, being sponsored by a shit-sandwich isn't exactly something good for the team's image. Imagine you're a tournament organizer inviting players, and it comes down to a ONE player and some guy from an equally well-represented team. I'd take the other guy anyday, because the chance of the ONE player being cut off unexpectedly, and therefore unable to attend, is quite a bit higher. At the same time though, I can understand that sponsorship isn't an easy thing to turn down, and sponsors don't grow on trees... But... You guys are saying that YOU haven't been burned, while members of other games are obviously getting burned. Are they not still your teammates? It's under the same damn banner, with the same damn sponsor. What makes your SC2 team any different than the team that got burned? And do you really want to be associated with a sponsor that does this, even if they do remain good to you?

The fact is no contracts have been drawn up and at the moment so its basically a "donation" to a paypal account. Once contracts have been written up and everything then things will be a different story. I will go on the record saying, "I do not support any of the actions that James has done in the past or recently"

What the hell? I'm totally lost....
