Side note: I'm so glad to see Poongko pwning it up with Seth. Poongko has always been one of the most exciting players to watch, and with Seth's new play style and decent matchup vs. the twins, I think he's got a great chance to take EVO 2011!
Dunno if ppl figured him out real fast already or if he was off on that redbull high, but words on the street is that Mike, Gootecks, and some Singaporean dude beat him in money matches after the main event was over.

People have only said that Xian won alot vs him in money matches and Gootecks took a few, never heard that anyone else there actually took games of him after that event in the moneymatches. Also Xian gonna get #1 at this EVO, that guy is so good i cry when i watch him play. Xian fighting

- Easily won Shadowloo with Mago and Tokido in attendance (generally considered #2 and #3 players respectively) - Young kid - Claims to practice 16-20 hours a day - Korean - Nickname: "The Machine" - Most likely related to Flash
- Pounds those Red Bulls - True power comes after taking off "belt"
haha I know Poongko personally. Well we don't talk because of language barrier, but we use to play Street Fighter 3 third strike and CvS2 against each other a lot in the Korean arcades back when I use to play SF competitively. We played SFIV vanilla too a lot in the arcade, back when Sagat was OP.
That guy was so good at CvS2. I remember I tried to chip him to death with Sagat's level 3 tiger genocide and he just defended like the whole thing. * sad face*
Cool, actually looking forward to watching some evo although i've never really watched fighting game streams. Will definitely make some time for it inbetween sc2 games (or during PvPs^^). Nice work featuring this thread, will remind me not to miss it.

They used to play on PS2 and when next-gen consoles were introduced, PS2>PS3 converters were much easier to get a hold of and better (as far as input lag goes) than PS2>360 converters were. Also, Sony has been a main sponsor of Evolution for the last 4-5 years or so now.

Exactly my thoughts after reading it from the highlight. Some cool stuff to watch during MLG downtime.

I think people are generally sleeping on Singapore. I also think that despite the number of Japanese players coming for AE, I don't think they'll dominate top 8 at all. Probably just the usuals like Daigo, Tokido. Mago/Momochi just might choke it out =(
Well, Daigo vs Jwong would be unrealistic as a finals...Daigo is ass at Marvel, and Jwong has way too much competition to realistically expect the finals in SF (its possible, just not likely).
Also, I'd say Momochi is a much more solid lock to go deep than Tokido. America just doesn't have the experience against top level Yun's to properly stop them yet, I mean who's going to stop Momochi...
