That was the only place I got "stuck" in aswell. Still, solving the tests is lots of fun especially in co-op with a buddy.

Good god, this game is addictive. Just spent the last 7 hours playing single player/coop, but didn't finish either yet.
You can really tell this game has some production value behind it, unlike Crysis 2 (which is even shorter than this and has worse graphics and less weapons than its 2007 prequel = lol) and DA2 which both look like garbage and suffer from a terminal disease of consolitis i.e. no matter what, you can just mash some buttons and win the fight
Once the advanced chamber mods and more coop maps come out, it's going to be even better value.

After the tutorial levels I really enjoyed all the puzzles, especially the goo and gravity based ones. Nothing too terribly difficulty but they require enough thinking to be majorly satisfying.

Just finished all the solo achievements. Love this game <333

Just beat it in 10 hours, horrible time. But the game was simply amazing. 10/10, recommended for anyone!
+ Show Spoiler +Not sure if anyone else noticed, but on one of the last puzzles before the end, if you look at the exit to the puzzle you can see one of the robots that GLaDOS made (the ones for co-op), running away .

I know it's fiction, but aren't any of you surprised with size of the facility? Big underground space with moving rooms. The cost of constructing this would be astronomical, this puts Black Mesa facility into shame, even thought Black Mesa actually won Aperture over contracts, it just doesn't fit well with the lore.
You'd be surprised what an omniscient robot can get done with an endless supply of power and mechanical arms. _________________________________________________________________________________
Anyways, I'd easily give this game 9.25 out of 10. I ALWAYS complain about the stagnation of videogames; everyone is just copying each other with no awesome storylines or gameplay. Portal 2 had a completely unique style to it and honestly, I think it is the first innovative game to come out in a few years. Hopefully other game companies will take note, and not just make [generic genre] games that come out once every year.
My only complaint about Portal 2 is that the epic moments in the latter portion of the game didn't have as much build up to them and weren't as cool because they used a lot of recycled scenery.
I hope they add a map editor so that we could maybe get some fps mixed with portals. I imagine it would have a pretty high skill ceiling. ^_^
Portal 2 was really good, but for it to be considered one of the best games in history, it would need a community like TL behind it.

I just beat the single player and I only played a couple hours of co-op but all I can say is WOWOWOWOWOWOW this is the best game I've ever played in my whole life. I can die happy now that I've experienced the masterpiece of Portal 2. The mind-bending puzzles, the laugh out loud hysterical humor, the shear creativity from Valve; it all blows me away how amazing this game really is. Games like this are what keeps the gaming industry alive, not some shitty run of the mill annually released shooter (I'm looking at you Call of Duty >:O). I don't know how Valve does it, but keep it up!

Same here that definitely was a head scratcher

Just finished the single-player not too long ago.
The game has actually managed to surpass Portal 1 in every way.
The voice-acting and story is levels beyond any video-game ever made, imo. Every "good" video-game story I can think of seems amateur compared to this. J.K. Simmons as "Cave Johnson" is hilarious. GLaDOS does not disappoint. And there an actual back-story in this game, giving some funny explanations to the seemingly nonsensical "science" going on at Aperture.
Everyone should be required to play this game. For science!

oh ok. yeah it was that one

Now that Portal 2 is out,i want to see them develop HL2 Ep 3

I finished it in about 4 hours playtime, 6 with breaks, must say im slightly dissapointed with the difficulty. Though not to say I wasn't stuck a few times, but that was mostly because I missed something glaringly obvious...
Waiting for my friend to return to run through co-op which hopefully is a bit harder :D
All in all it's an amazing game with outstanding humor and story, so I hope the co-op or some advanced chambers will ramp up the difficulty a bit
9/10 so far, after co-op it's prob 10/10

I'm in the beginning of chapter 6 now. How many hours of play gametime do I have from here? I've only spent 4 hours, but it seems like it's getting near the end.

i just finished the coop and singleplayer today. for me..clearly the best game ive played this year. the coop was a little bit short tbh, but its harder than the singleplayer. (and way more fun with a friend) amazing game, you have to play it ! hands down favorite <3 portal 2
oh yeah and: coop + single, about 8 1/2 hours for me, too short

Just finished chapter 5, no I'm way at teh bottom and actually it's scary as hell, wouldn't have thought Portal can be so ambient

I finished solo last night, very fun ^^
Some people are complaining about the end song and such ("OMG ITS NOT I'M STILL ALIVE*explode*") but I enjoyed every bit of the campaign, except for that 1 damn level in Chapter 8.
