Spinfusor is used to clear the stand for your capper and destroy deployables like mines and claymore while the chaingun is used to duel... I see no problem with this. Arena is a joke indeed. Its not meant to be competitive, and with the holes everywhere its kind of like super smash brothers where the majority of players don't kill you but push you off the arena itself with AOE weapons... See it as a tool to practice your aim, not as a serious game type.

Arena is a joke when you play with someone that is good with the assault rifle, you can't even get close to them. The rifles are soooo much better than spinfusors, this is not how it should be. because going down a level and avoiding clean lines of sight until you can close on them is so incredibly difficult. If you walk straight at someone with a gun, you're going to get shot. The most effective style I've seen is a mix of fusor/projectile. open with a bit of CG, clean them up with a spinfusor shot when they're not expecting it. I admit that going up against a good doombringer 1 on 1 as a light is pretty much impossible, but that's kind of the point. raider/soldier destroys them with shield pack or AP nade spam.

and to the second one, it's weird because turrets count as vehicles. I've gotten like 50 in a match before when there were 4 techs on the enemy team farming turrets everywhere

Often getting 6 kills in the space of 10 seconds. Rinse and repeat. Its even better because you also get mass revenge and aftermath points. :D

Anyway, was bored grinding so I picked Jugg and holy cow Batman, hitting those mortars is funnnnnn. What should I get with it? I like the base weapons, belt items are lame. So just armor/backpack and the weapon upgrades & potential energy if I am going to fight in the open? Or is the MG a must if I want to go out a bit more? Not terrible Lights/Mediums just shit on me usually. I'd love to play some scrims and shit but I don't have a mic, the pubs can be quite infuriating IMHO. e. I'm EmperorTerran btw, and play on the EU server for the most part. You probably figured it out though already.

I guess the DPS isn't that far from Nova Blaster after all and in every other sense it's just superior(other than clutch around the corner shots). Get the throwing disc, it's basically works like a third weapon and if you get the MG, you become a killing machine. MG them in the air and throw a disc at them as they land.

I don't get why some people seem to get so mad when you kill 'em with sent or shrike. I almost got 2 slayers yesterday on a shrike(should have died right away after 1st one and I'd get the 2nd) and in the end I had like 5 dmbs trying to SL me down. It's the same if I take sent and snipe the guy who tries to cap the flag, after a while he'll come chase me as if I'm the objective of the game apparently. Even more sad is that they usually try to duel you with pth or they use inf and rather than shooting or throwing a sticky they try to stab me.

As someone who has done that exact thing as capper, it's mostly that if you're in a pub, you have no one else who will actually secure your capping path, so going infil or pth and actually clearing out the sentinels and other obstacles a few times usually means you can go back to capping because the sent gets bored being backstabbed/stickied/duelled. Edit: As for shrikes, I tend to mostly modify the capping path to avoid them, or take potshots at them if they catch up with me anyway...

The great thing about Tribes is that your own success is usually not directly related to how your team is doing. So I can still zip around in my shrike and have fun and do well, or play just about anything else than a capper. I never had your problem about VFT though, I just toss it into the nearest heavy I see and then he can figure out what to do with it. VED!
