It appears to me though that health regenerates? If I'm wrong please correct me, and if it's true then I hope they take it out. Cappers can just run away and regen health and then come back for another cap if they miss and take damage?
Also is there a cap on the ski speed of heavies? HO was so fun in T1, but I played LD primarily (on TWL ladder 10v10 matches). Still loved HO though and I'd like to do that again if it's not nerfed. HO pretty much sucks, its only used to counter specific strategies (mostly turtling with shit tons of deployables.) Mostly HO are too slow/no jets.

Health does regenerate but it takes a while, and as far as I know cappers suicide if they miss their route, they don't go back since they lack the nitron grenades and such to boost themselves, unless they can salvage their momentum and keep a very good speed from another route, which doesn't really seem to happen in scrims I watched. Its more of a problem with heavies that spam mortar from the middle of the map and hide from the defence in my opinion...
As far as HO goes I never play it so I can't really say... Heavies can go ''fast'' but there is a speed cap. However since the maps are smaller you can get to the base fairly quickly with good skiing. Also, like I said earlier if you manage to stay alive long enough for your health to regen you can become a real nuisance, at least in pubs.
Edit: Then again, Coriolis is much better then I am and if he says it sucks... I believe him.

And the reason heavies suck is because you don't have enough jets. A pathfinder is just going to fly around you shooting you, but heavies are useful vs heavy turtle strats due to long range mortar/mirv spam. Its fun to play in pubs and can be quite effective, but in comp play its not as dominant as T2 (LOL6KILLSBEFOREIDIE) or even T1 for that matter.

Good to hear that there's no speed cap. There's hope then for a T1 style HO maybe. I'll let you know in a few weeks when I get back home!

Very good matches indeed. Descolada's shriking is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

You're Descolada ?!? Well you killed an awefull lot of people on crossfire, I think we only see you crash once or twice while on camera, and one time to return. And your sentinel was a beast, often killed people when you were an inch of running them over.

Anyone know if there is a replay site or something similar that I can find some pro's replays? I don't even know if Tribes has that yet... any info on the subject would be appreciated.
Only thing I've watched is some VoDs but I want to see some pro level cap routes and it's hard to tell what they are doing while being casted.

You might want to check out area51's zoidbergenstein's stream and vods... He's the only capper stream I've been able to find. As far as I know there is no replay system... He tends to interacts with viewers a lot when he's not in a scrim so if you have questions it might be interesting for you as well.

I'm really bad at this game. I find it kind of fun, but it seems incredibly hard to hit people (in general, not just because I'm bad lol) and it feels like you have too much health. And the skiing thing is so hard...

It took me a few weeks of dedication to get better at landing shots, but now I'm able to hold my own to a decent extent. I think all you can do is get used to it o/

I've been playing the beta this weekend, and (not having played T1 or T2) I really enjoy it. Are there any numbers floating out there regarding the # of active users per server? I'm chilling on America West and frankly I run into the same people in different lobbies on different days. It's possible that their matchmaking system just pairs me up with ppl of similar skill, but it gives me the impression that it's a much smaller community and the pub matches could quickly die out.
Also, any TL'ers willing to set up some real CTF matches?

^i think most people play on NAEast, i'm in cali and i do only because it is the default option, and i changed it once to west but there were a lot less players. east def has more people.

Thanks man! Yeah i changed it to AM West b/c I'm in cali too, but it makes sense that most ppl would stick to the default if the latency isn't too bad. I'll be trying that tonight then...
