Day 2 of NASL is waaaay better than day 1. Good games, much better cast, slightly better production. Casters actually talking about the game, roles, weapons, etc. Production is still lazy (typical of NASL), but this is okay, and the difference in stream numbers is significant.

I kinda like Tribes, but I can´t really come to grips with the whole skiing system, its annoying as fuck
it's like riding a bike. A lot of scraped knees and premature deaths, but when you get the hang of it you never let go. Possibly because those eight broken limbs need to have counted towards something...

Glad to hear that! What were the stream numbers at their max like?
I don't see much talk about that class here. I recently unlocked it because I wanted to own face with the heavy spinfusor. It seems like a pretty good class for TDM, but does it actually have a role in CTF?
Brute is probably the worst heavy class. It kind of lacks a clear role and suffers a lot from a crap secondary. In general, Jugg is better for HO (and overall the most versatile heavy) and Doombringer is a better HoF than Brute. And if you want to play TDM with a heavy class you should use the Doombringer because the chaingun rapes.
I got the Brute because I really liked to play Heavy Shield in T2, but the "heavy" shield pack on the Brute is pretty worthless - it doesn't absorb any more damage/energy than the Raider's normal shield pack, which is pretty whack (and the Brute has a much smaller energy pool to boot, lol), given that there isn't really much else good in the class to counterbalance that. Fractals are nice, but that's about it for the Brute.
I'd imagine it'd get a rework "soon", as everyone and their mother knows it's got issues at the moment, lol.
Edit: Would Quick Draw be okay as a second perk on Sent? I find myself swapping between pistol and rifle a lot, but I'm not sure 20% is actually significant enough to notice a difference oO

Quick Draw is a good 2nd perk for sentinel, you're not foregoing anything amazing to get it.

You may want to check out area51's talespin... I don't know if he streams but he has a youtube channel with a few vids, only good sentinel I could find....
And he kills me alot in his montage
Its not scrims but it gives you a good idea I guess...
Could someone give me a quick rundown of the standard classes/roles for CTF? I'm trying to pick a class to learn but I'm not sure what to play.
In TDM I enjoy playing solider (either with default loadout or spinfusor/pistol) and brute (which I've heard is pretty much useless though) and occasionally juggernaut. I guess I would like to play a medium/heavy class and preferably one that doesn't involve camping around for long periods of time.

DrainX posted this video a few pages back, which descibes the major roles of the game.
Seems like its pretty much what you want to know. From your description I guess you should play the light offence ''havoc'' position as a raider or soldier. Its basically clearing the enemy base for your capper, so he can get in and out untouched. It may be a bit sad though in public games since people are not organised and you won't feel as usefull if you don't know when to go in.

Thanks. Don't even need it to be a scrim because I'm obviously just pugging, just a good way for me to get an idea of how to position better and such o/

He doesn't stream unfortunately, his PC isn't able to handle it. But yeah he is a beast. And I was wondering why your name sounded familiar haha I've watched that vid about 6 times trying to glean some sentinel wisdom.
I'm in afghanistan so I'm not going to be able to play for a few more weeks. I've been watching some videos of showmatches and I think HiRez may have captured the spirit of the Tribes franchise from the looks of the youtube videos.
It appears to me though that health regenerates? If I'm wrong please correct me, and if it's true then I hope they take it out. Cappers can just run away and regen health and then come back for another cap if they miss and take damage?
Also is there a cap on the ski speed of heavies? HO was so fun in T1, but I played LD primarily (on TWL ladder 10v10 matches). Still loved HO though and I'd like to do that again if it's not nerfed.
