Did anyone buy Light Assault Rifle for pathfinder? Was it worth it? Considering spending my gold on it but... it's a lot of gold for only one weapon. Its a good weapon, but dont aspect to get many kills with ith. its something more like a finishing gun. it has a 3 bullets burst. u cant hold ur mouse button down to fire like a machine gun. evry click bursts 3 bullets.

For targets moving fast in a predictable way, far away, skiing, jetpacking etc. It is easy to judge where the target will be a second from now. Move your crosshair to where the target will be and just get the timing right on the click. For targets moving slowly at close range I usualy just try to trace their movement with my crosshair and fire when I feel confident to hit. For targets who try to move in an erratic way to avoid being hit, I usually zoom in close to them, then quickly move my crosshair against them and take a snapshot at them. Or if they are moving back and forth, I'll aim in one location and wait until they pass that position and time the click. Trying to trace someone moving erratic will just mess with your aim. If you are chasing someone and manage to match their speed and direction, the LAR can be really powerful and bring down a target fast. Other than that, I would only use it to finish of a target or shooting at people who stay in the air a lot. It is at least better than the shotgun for almost any situation that a pathfinder will find himself in.

For me, I'm sure I could get more midairs per game if I constantly went for them, but I don't, since I generally easily top the server by out-duelling people and cleaning them off the floor. I only try for midairs more when I'm up against chainwhores or people who are out duelling me.

Alternatively you can try using a mouse with on the fly DPI switching, most of the logitech and razer gaming mice have that feature. You are mistaken. I can think of at least 3 snipers who shrike in competitive play.

I've had 16 mid-airs in a single arena game with 50% of my kills being midairs. In a normal game of CTF i will get anywhere between 2-10+ midairs depending on how much pressure the offense put on (I play LD/chase). Consistency of direct hitting people is crucial as chase as it will insta-gib a light capper (I use the boltlauncher). Out of curiosity, what is your rank (mainly due to the rank just being an indication of the time played in this game)? Because if you are under rank 6, you won't be matched against anyone over rank 6. After rank 6 you start to play against a lot better people, I played with a few competitive players in a Pub just now.

First, I'm going to admit I'm terrible at capping and can't get a lot of speed, but I voluntarily do it. Playing on bad teams, they have no offense and no flag defense. Too many people are occupied protecting the generator. I find it hard to be a lone capper most of the time trying to bypass a defense with claymores, forcefields, mines, and turrets. This is evident on Bella Omega and the ice level. If you want to play competitively and organized then join a team. People do whatever they want in these games in pubs. Tribes is no different. In that situation that you just described I'd go HO and just have fun with it. Two tears in a bucket.

If you are chasing as PTH and arent close enough to nitron it is fantastic. It is the worst of the ARs for sure, having to constantly click is annoying, but if you care about flag returns and you arent holding the enemy flag then its amazing. I dont know your unlock situation etc, but personally I really wouldnt like to go back to playing PTH with a shotgun. They don't BPS every single shot for sure, but if a target is not on the ground they attempt it and its not uncommon for it to hit at all.

I'm getting pretty good at popping people with a spinfusor (The heavy one at that, which moves slower). But I bought the Tech and I'm struggling to get a single kill with the SMG.

I dont know where this misconception comes from. Everyone I know can midair people, everyone who plays with the Spinfuser for any amount of time can midair people. It's really not hard at all. It's not about us being stupid, or elitist, or whatever -- it really isn't. It's just a matter of practicing and not sucking.
