If you played the first one... don't buy it unless you EXTREMELY like the first one: it's basically the first one improved (a lot improved ok...) but it's still the same soup and doesn't even scare you after you passed all that in DS1.

If you want to sink 500 hours into a space simulator and become quite literally the master of the universe then I recommend it. I love that game but honestly I just don't have the time. It's amazing making an actual space empire, painstakingly automating it and becoming the most powerful thing ever. But its so so so much time. Actually there's about a hundred different ways you can play it and enough missions and all that you might never actually finish it. 100% complete would take divine will. By the way, Supreme Commander 2 was not a very great game. 3.74 is about what it's worth.

Also supcom 2 is an awesome game. tbh If I wans't playing sc2, I would be playing that.

No. Dead Space 2 was terrible and its story was a joke. It's overall battles consisted of gimmicky enemies and keeping you absurdly low on ammo as if that increased the difficulty. The scare factor? Negligent, and this is coming from someone who really hates horror movies. Dead Space 2 is terrible, I have the VODs of me playing the entire game if you want to see it The final boss is annoying fuck, not hard, just annoying and resulting in many bullshit deaths.

I thought Dead Space 2 was fine, I really don't get why some people hate on it this much. The scare factor is about the same (obviously it will be less if you beat the first game just) and well, the whole game feels about the same as the original all said and done. I felt like there was more ammo in DS2 so not sure why the post above me says otherwise (I mean of course the harder difficulties have less items/drops). There are of course new enemies, a few new mechanics (mostly the breakable windows that suck everything out of the room, including you if you don't react fast enough) and a continuation to the story. The story wasn't as good as the first game, and mostly revolves around Issac's psyche attacking him (Nicole/the Marker) but wasn't that bad. There is more of a focus on action and crazy shit going on around you than the solitary drama of the first game, so that might be a turn off to some. Some negatives for me was how much more you get forced to rely on your gun light, added a little atmosphere sometimes but other times felt like it was tedious. Some parts of the story bugged me, + Show Spoiler + In the first game the Marker is kinda countering the Necro's, but now it's creating them. You still don't really get any clear answers about it either. So if you liked Dead Space and don't expect too much out of the sequel I think you will enjoy your romp in the Sprawl, but be prepared for a somewhat re visioned experience.

For this? It was the same old shit except exaggerated to the point of just shrugging and wondering "why bother". The only thing I liked was the variety of enemies, but even then, some of them were just blatantly irritating and not at all worth their variety (and I'm not saying this because I died to them, in fact, those were the few I didn't die to). I had 4 guns, but only ever used my cutter and the machine gun (I don't remember the names, sorry). I started using the other ones for more specific enemies when ammo got very hard (even then... the cutter was just straight-up easy to use and efficient). Wouldn't bother with Dead Space 2. If Dead Space 3 came out, you could skip Dead Space 2 for sure.

I had the same problem about 6 months ago and they sorted it out but now they are back again. I guess they just don't want money badly enough to fix their weird billing system. What was the issue? I've had so many of them as well.

Terraria is a good buy, as is NWN2, and of course Portal 2... Other than that, "meh" for today.

That metacritic review seems to hit the spot on with what Torte is speaking about, instead of survival horror(ambiance) you have more shooting and that takes away horror, as enemies no longer feel that dangerous, they just look dangerous. Waiting to see whats up for tomorrow. i don't think there will be anything new. on the last day, steam usually puts up the best games from all previous days again. i hope I'm wrong though ![]()

Then again, it could also just be clever yield management by Steam or the devs, who knows. Regardless of the uproar, Terraria is a really fun game and easily worth the 4.99 €/$. If you liked Minecraft but prefer games with a little more direction and many more things to do and explore besides mining and building, get it.

(don't play it with a keyboard, this is a controller/wheel MUST) Totally agree, really great game and worth the money if you love F1 in general. I had it preordered and played it on and off ever since. Clocked over 100 hours on it, which is far more than other games of the same price.
