So i made a Mummy wizard of kiku. Got max piety now at lair. I planned on ditching kiku after pain brand and going nemelex or sif (probly nemelex since i trained evokation and found crystal ball). The thing is, i dont know what to brand. I didnt train any weapon skill yet so i can use anything, but i didnt find anything worthwhile.
I read that i should just use it on a fast weapon, but is it really ok to use it on something like a regular whip or dagger?
Also, i have another char. Deep elf ice elementalist of kiku. So far he got to vaults 4 or something. He is seriously doing well. Between icicles, haunt, 29 int, 31 ac with Ozu armor, semicontrolled blink, there is almost nothing that can really threaten me, save for massive hoards of centaur varients or something. If things go south, i can always blink away.
The thing is, kiku at this point doesnt do much for me. I have not once asked for corpses... beacuse i never needed it lol. I can reliably cast necromutation with staff of wizardry. So my question is if its worth sticking with kiku? I can buy a book of annihilation if i want to cast ice storm (no spell slots to put it though... i dont even have room for borj or death door lol), so vehumet might not be worth it. I think i trained some evokation already on him.... so nemelex is always an option but seriously, i dread the idea of going around the whole dungeon looking for shit to offer him from the previous floors. Not to mention the fact that ive yet to use nemelex effectively lol.

I've never abandoned Kiku so I don't know exactly how severe his wrath is, but I would probably advise against it on your DE. You're going to be super squishy, and the combination of torment/miasma/hostile zombies spawning adjacent to you to block Ice Storm seems pretty annoying to deal with. For a 3-rune game you really don't ever need to change gods. If you plan on more runes, it may be worthwhile, but even then the torment resist and corpses for Sublimation is not bad.

Doesnt necromutation already resist torment? I never abandoned a god before so i dont know exactly how it works. How long does it last? Is it possible to stay in lichform in the temple while killing the stuff he sends at me with dispell undead?
I never even got very far in the game, so its probably stupid to attempt an extended game, but i might try it haha. I dont want to skip too much stuff.

Yeah if you're going that route you'll probably be ok, but I still think it's a waste to change gods for 3 runes. If you can cast Ice Storm and Necromutation, you're already in a place where you can win easily.

i just had an idea..
Does potion of blood count as a potion or as chunks for nemelex sacrifice? Couldnt you like mass potions of blood and sacrifice them for alot of decks of wonder as a vampire?

Just got my first 15-rune win, and streamed it too! :D
I think FEs are a very good choice for anyone looking to tackle the endgame for the first time. The only really challenging spots were in Dis and Gehenna.
I'm working on another 15-runer with my HOFi of TSO, but I'm getting raped in Tomb:2 already. I have statue form. Any other tips?

Statue form is not really very good in tomb. The torment damage reduction is pretty much completely canceled by the fact you are permaslowed, and tomb is a very bad place to be permaslowed. So my first tip is stop using it.
There are a couple different ways to deal with the Tomb:2 entry. You can stairdudes it, which is the simplest, or you can do various things to tackle it from a place that is not in the center of a dozen torment/smite mummies (such as random teleport).

Are you sure about that? I've watched multiple good players use Statue Form in the Tomb on melee characters. Since 90% of my damage there comes from Torment, it seems like a 50% increase in time per action is easily worth the resistance. It means that while I'm stair dancing, my attacks take 5 units instead of 3, and they still 1 or 2-shot everything. The only significant increase is in the movement when I go up or down.

I don't like statue form in tomb, being permaslowed there is very bad. You take most of your damage from torment in either case, but without statue form you have much more freedom to play LOS games if you are not stairdudesing, or you just plain take about 50% fewer torments if you are stairdudesing.
Anyway if you are having trouble with tomb:2 it is usually safer to not tackle it from the entrance. Random teleport is quite good in tomb:2 (and if you are going to rtele then statue form is good at least until you land somewhere acceptable).

Can anybody tell me what an Unseen Horror is/does?

Invisible, moves quickly and unpredictably (like a bat)

If you ever see "It hits you!" and especially "It hits you! x2" past D:10 or so, it's probably an Unseen Horror. You need to farm up some see invis, or use Sticky Flame/Corona, or lure it into a hallway and try to beat the crap out of it there. It moves too fast for you to swing in an open space.

When i cast spells with z, i get the annoying prompt "confirm with . or enter...etc." can i get rid of that somehow?

You can mute the message by adding this to your rcfile (or init.txt if you're playing offline):
message_colour = mute:Confirm with \. or Enter, or press \? or \* to list all spells\. message_colour = mute ress\: \? - help, Shift-Dir - straight line, f - you message_colour = mute:for a list of commands and other information
(obviously the smiley is meant to be : P but without a space)

Depending on your version, mute is actually not working right now.. I know it's broken as of trunk yesterday. I don't know how long it's been that way.

So is it worth using a shield as a Minotaur berserker? Two handed weapons are pretty sweet.... but maybe later on I will want a shield?
