Engis feeding the swarm ammo boxes is also lots of certs. I got about 300 in a few hours just tossin ammo boxes down near groups.

All the support options are great for earning certs really. reviving is probably the best though. 75 exp + another 30 to heal em back up to full :D

Ugh, the render distance on infantry during big battles (500+?) is killing it for me. It's annoying when I'm running around and then suddenly like 50 enemy soldiers pop up out of nowhere.

I threw a grenade at "nothing" once and I ended up killing like 10 soldiers who weren't being rendered. They probably couldn't see me either, imba.

I just can't imagine creating the concept for this game "Hey lads, let's make a shooter where instead of 5 or 10 or 20 player per a 50-400m^3 map we have about 500 to 2000 player per a 10-20km^3 map"
- " Oy, that sounds fine, but we have to put next-gen never before seen graphics on it, how else would people PC's handle and already CPU and internet heavy game like this one"
- " Damn, that's a good point there, however we also have to add no weapon with bullet scan, everything even the small weapons need to have projectile bullets... that would help with that rendering of 10000 HD next gen graphic assets + 100 players on ones screen"

I don't have bad lag with PS2 thank god so it makes it a lot more fun when you don't have lag issues.

I haven't played on release yet what server is everyone on TL going on?

You can edit the render distance in the graphics INI. By default it's set to something like -1 which means it varies depending on number of units. Change it to something like 1000 and you may end up with both a performance increase and more units visible.

I read this on a forum while I wait for the end of the month to roll over so I can DL it it's not from personal experience.

I don't have the slightest lag on EU Miller since the hotfix, don't know what people are complaining about.

I have been playing a good amount the last couple days and I have to say I am really impressed. The scale of the battles is huge and I have had more than a couple moments that had me on the edge of my seat. If there is anyone feeling lost, the thing that helped me get started playing with no prior experience with Planetside was a good group of guys to play with. It helps so much to have guys that can teach you the basics so you can get right to the good parts of the game.

I really wish there was a better way to keep track of squadmates. As far as I'm aware, toggling the map is the only reliable way to find them since squad members aren't marked on the minimap or on the HUD until you're a certain distance away.

So far for me it's been pretty up and down with the lag so far. First while there was no lag at all for me, but yesterday I had several instances where it'd take several seconds to bring up menus and consoles, where people would rubberband all over the place and tanks would fly. It's pretty funny actually when people rubberband since this game seems to handle it differently than I'm used to. You actually have to hit them where they're rubberbanded to, to deal damage to them which makes it all the more random and confusing.

Most op shit of all time. Spawn as engineer, grab landmines, place under parked sunderer, get exp. 2 mines blows a sunderer up. Really ez to do as well. Killed about 11 in 15 minutes.

I really wanted to like to this game. I'm just not really into it at all. I don't like the way it feels and plays. Maybe I just don't care for huge battles or big army organization but none of it holds my interest. Maybe if the fighting/gun play was a little more original or unique I could get into it. I don't know FPS's these days just feel watered down.

Tried the game, but not convinced yet... Still, i'm think playing with more people who knows what they're doing is still better than just running around doing nothing...

The game seems to run a lot smoother than a month ago. It ran at 10fps a month ago on my bros computer but now it is completely playable. I've played with the reddit outfit before but I'm having more fun running around as a two man squad with my bro.
I can only play starcraft when I am shit canned. IPXZERG is a god.

If you run with an outfit it's not as much about massive army organization, but about working together with squad or two behind enemy lines. That's when it's done right, when you have around 12 people in your squad and yet manage to hold up the enemy zerg at a fortress for over an hour on the enemy's side of the map. It's like RTS meets FPS, so I like it, but you're right it's like battlefield 3 controls other than that.
