if you can't even handle 3 deaths, it makes sense you logged out.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was extremely confused when that happened to me, because I was expecting a tutorial or something, instead of being hotdropped into the middle of a warzone.
Maybe they should spawn new players at the warp gate, because this isn't the first time I've seen someone ragequit the game altogether after just a few minutes because of that initial combat zone drop.
Though it could be some kind of test, to filter out people who easily give up or rage. Well played, SOE.

That is the initiation ritual for PS2. If you don't get killed the second you spawn your first time, something must be broken. It teaches you that life in PS2 isn't worth anything, you will die - A LOT. But with hard work you can go from dying A LOT to just dying a lot. It's the nature of the game and part of what makes it so interesting, it doesn't hold your hand - it rips your arm off and slaps it across your face... and after some time, you'll learn to love it.
I still feel bad every time i insta-kill some battlerank 1 dropping with his pod right in front of my vanguard
I'm at 2600 deaths now after 2 weeks of playing.

The first spawn on any character is always horrible.

They added the newbies not spawning on warpgate thing last minute. No idea why, maybe to lead them into the action more easily, but it's funny how horribly people handle a death or 2 at the start. I remember that games used to be designed to kill you repeatedly until you adapt, so my initiation death was refreshing.

There's still quite a few crybabies in every large fight. TR crying that VS is overpowered and NC complaining that they're UP.

So i'm really low level. What to do versus aircraft? Tried the MAX antiair thing but it seems really weak.

Run. Until you get dedicated AA weapons you cant really do shit. If you're HA you can attempt to hit it with rockets.

You can try getting into something with Basilisks or into an Anti Air Turret (I find the batteries on top of tech labs and The Crown tend to last if you have a good crew of engi and a modicum of air support). Bursters are your main boots-on-the-ground option, but if you're dissatisfied with all of these (I feel like they're mainly deterrence/zone control atm), ESFs (Scythe, Reaver, Mosquito) are the weapon of choice for hunting and killing an aircraft. They demand some practice and skill to be useful, but if you're good enough you can chase and destroy air targets even with your nosegun.
You can also choose battles away from the reign of aircraft like Tech Lab or Bio Lab interiors. Small bases in the middle of nowhere with little cover are ripe for bombing.
In almost any anti-air situation you need to lead. The outfit I'm in is tiny, but even as half a squad dicking around somewhere on the ground we've taken down cocky ESFs and Liberators just by landing our Basilisk or Burster shots properly.

NC really is underpowered but we don't complain too much because TR and VS are pretty much completely filled with retards, so even though we have weaker weapons and lower population, we still regularly cap continents. On Briggs server I'm not sure if we ever completed it but we had like 20% pop on each continent and capped two and almost capped the last one, before I logged off. That was during the busy time too.

I have a 22NC on soltech. I'm not seeing anything underpowered. I usually only run by myself and have a relatively high k/d ratio. I don't get where people are saying NC has underpowered things.

You should come to Genudine on US West, it's all NC, all the time.

Esamir belongs to us, the mighty VS. And TR...well they have the crown so who gives a shit!

I mainly fight in Indar, and we almost never hold even our tech lab! I really should play the other continents more though.
Also, wish i'd seen the light of NC before i started playing, I'd bought rocket pods on my TR before i made the switch over

This morning it was as bad as 42% NC on the server.

Played for the first time last night.
Died 5s into my first load. I assumed the person I spawned near was an ally. Lol learned that the hard way. Didn't mind it though. Just respawned and died again 10s later haha.
It is a little overwhelming finding where to fight and knowing where the zerg is going, but once you find them it is a lot of fun. 30min into my playing time I was part of a 50tank swarm moving into occupied territory. Was really intuitive to just jump into a tank that said 1/2 and start shooting shit.
Def. not a noob friendly game though.

From my experience fighting with Forlorn Hope (best Genudine TR outfit *cough* *cough*), VS always has Esamir, Amerish is either NC or VS, and Indar is always split 3 ways.
That said, when Forlorn Hope holds outfit ops, we triple-capped every contient on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday around 11 PM. Loyalty beyond death.
