If you pre-purchase you get in 48 hours early. If you don't you get to play on the 29'th till october 10'th and if you pre-order you get from 27'th - october 10'th. So sure if you absolutely can't wait 48 hours sure its to get more copies sold (I pre-ordered :D). But if for people who are skeptical can wait till the 29'th. No harm at all...

People seem to forget the past that even Steam itself was a crap software. Steam has gone a long way since its release. Now that the platform is a lot better, people just ignore it. This is the same case for Origin. It may not be that great yet, but it works fine for me. Origin can build its reputation and stability over the amount of time. People can bitch all they want, but this is just pure competition between businesses. I can see how Steam is convenient with all your games and friend contacts on it. I don't mind using Origin to play a great looking game like Battlefield 3 and I am sure it will live up to the hype. Besides, it is not like Origin will slow down my computer. Anyone who is getting this on the PC must have a pretty good computer.

TT I don't think I'll be able to run Skype and the game at the same time. I really hope they put a good one in that people use, really lame all games these days don't include that since even CS games have them (and people actually use the Source one a lot). edit-Torte why the hell does your post count change so often? http://www.battlefield.com/uk/battlefield3/blog/battlefield-3-battleblog-11 Not a fan of vehicles? No problem -- just click the “Infantry Only” box in your server browser when searching for a server game where no attack vehicles will spawn in, only transports. This is a great way to get a feel for the game or the map before you go all-out warfare. Want a more lethal and tactical game mode where the risk and reward is even higher? With the Hardcore Mode setting, we are leaving you on the battlefield without much external help from the game interface. This game mode modifier will test the limits of your skills. I am more of a normal game play player myself, but to everyone there own.

I personally don't play recon often anymore but I hunt them most rounds on maps like Heavy Metal for fun, speaking of which I just knifed three in a row in the backs they were all sitting on the spine ridge near B on Heavy Metal. I said "sup son?" in chat and some people had a good laugh. I am really wondering if they will make the shots even more wild without using that new breathing feature, I hope so since otherwise its kinda dumb to bring it in if its only a slight benefit.

I really hope they make the defuse button something a little more conveinent, I've lost count of how many times I've gotten a new kit instead of disarming the charge.

I'm not looking forward to full prone drop shots in BF3, BFBC2 you can go in rambo style to save an objective amd stop a group of people from defusing. I'm worried about the snipers getting to use prone now, they're aggravating enough in BC2. I really hope they make the defuse button something a little more conveinent, I've lost count of how many times I've gotten a new kit instead of disarming the charge. Pick-up kit button and plant/defuse button are different in Battlefield 3, DICE was aware of this problem in BC2 and fixed it for BF3. No worries.
