Gotta echo this as well. Getting used to a weapon is very underrated imo. If you want to do well in this game learn a gun, dont switch around like crazy. I'm certainly a victim of this but has improved on this part latley.

When I first started out, I knew that playing Assault would net me the most points due to revives being worth 100. Unlocked the AEK, and used it to grind through the first Assault service star. The AEK definitely performs in CQB, which is what most newer players would be used to at first, so I'd give that a try. If not, the M416 is versatile enough to suit all your needs once you unlock it. AK-74M and M16A3 requires different tactics in order to be effective, due to the AK-74M's low rate of fire. You can't bum rush an opponent and expect to get the kill in a direct head-on situation. In my personal experience, I'd find learning a gun isn't difficult once you get to know the recoil pattern/rate of fire for ~10 kills or so (I hold the trigger when firing full-auto because I'm lazy). The only time I learned to use a gun is with sniper rifles, due to the bullet drop at longer ranges. (Side Note: I'll have to re-learn all my semi-auto snipers because the suppressor damage is finally applied and I'll take it out; before it wasn't).

![]() is AEK really that buffed now? I remember it was really good on Karkand when I used it, but I feel like weapon strengths are more about what hte player prefers other than the stats of the gun (other than reload and deploy speed ofc) edit - holy fkin shit new battlelog O_O forgot about how much better it looks BTW completely off topic but did any of you get that email from origin? They gave out a free game (BC2, Dragon Age or Spore) because of 1 year anniversary. A lot of people apparently didn't get it though because they didnt set their settings in origin to accept promotional emails

My initial reaction was more or less based on the fact that recommending guns like m416 etc. would statistically be recommending a newbro play with a disadvantage in general, if only a slight one. My best advice is to consistently bug yourself with a question of what you're doing for your team to be useful. Ask yourself that whenever and whereever. If you can't come up with a simple answer, you're being useless like most other people. Try your best not to be that stereotype.

Just because that stats say it's the best gun doesn't necessarily mean it's the best gun for him. I hate the m16a3 despite it being "borderline OP." I never use it, and probably never will. I'm much better with some "worse" guns (worse meaning the stats say it worse) simply because of my playstyle and i like how they handle (recoil, deploy speed so on). If you find a gun you think fits you, use it.

Pretty much all the feedback that was supplied positive and negative has impacted in the production of this montage and has been greatly appreciated. Anyways hope you enjoy it and hope I've earned your support. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cUCvFSCEZo Hey, I think that this one has much better clips, but I feel like the first one's editing was much better. It just flowed together much more smoothly, and it seemed like you were trying to stick to the song or whatever. This one had some cool moments though, so good job. And you are a great player.

They might get it after a while but to begin with it's nonexistant unless you've been playing similar games for a long time and a specific stylistic choice will affect you. That combined with the fact that a new player is also at a disadvantage when it comes to knowing terrain, maps and vehicles among a plethora of other things means that there's no reason not to equip yourself with, on paper, the best equipment available to make up for it.

In my opinion, using the M16A3 isn't that good an idea for a new player. If you remember back to when you first started playing, using a high RPM gun was fairly difficult to aim with when spraying (which is what people do when they first start), so having something slower (with low recoil) makes some sense. M416 is a good all-around gun to start off with or even the AK as some people suggested. The best way to learn quickly imo is to play the same 4-5 maps for a while to get used to them, and then switch to a next 4-5 while keeping the same gun. This is what i did, and i learnt pretty quickly. Finally when i was happy with shooting at range, i switched it up a bit. Side note: Why doesnt the MK count as Shotgun kills? urgh....

I disagree with you and agree with Divine-Sneaker's assessment in using the M16A3 as the baseline for attempting to get a feel of the weapons. The reason for that is because the spread for the M16A3 is very low with ADS, which is what all players are going to do, even if they are newbies (Unless they're complete newbies and don't know how to pull down with vertical recoil). In fact, using a high RPM weapon is the easiest way to get kills, because all you do is spray and pray and most of your engagements is going to be in CQB (Farm for points to unlock everything on Metro, Seine, Bazaar). Also, when you see all those Youtube stars using the M16A3, there's just no reason to not use the gun, since it has the best overall stats for an Automatic Weapon (Personally, I feel that the AN-94 is the best after much thought, but the problem is that spray and pray works better if you don't have the good enough aim for the headshot, which is what the M16A3 offers the best at aiming the general area for the kill. It's similar to comparing the old days of Manual vs. Automatic Transmissions.)

Also, am I doing it wrong or is SMAW/RPG useless on larger maps after unlocking the javelin (and even before that, since even stinger will be of more use probably). I've not used it literally once on caspian/kharg/firestorm since getting my stinger and then the javelin. And also, I don't own B2K. Premium - yay or nay? I'm on xbox.
