Obviously BF3 isn't pure realism (it's a game not a simulator), but it does strive to be realistic, and the guns are fairly realistic (except for visible damage... I can guarantee the game gets an AO rating if it realistically showed what happens to a character model with a M98B headshot). But 3 or 4 shots to take someone down is actually pretty accurate. Soldiers have body armor, heads have helmets, etc. There's a reason soldiers wear the stuff. Also, a common misconception is that bullets do way more damage than they do. In reality, bullet wounds are non-fatal about 95% of the time, even to the torso or face. Unless we're talking high caliber, then yes, 1 or 2 ought to do it. But BF3 is definitely one of the more realistic shooters out there, and I think the way they've modelled it does a good job keeping the game both realistic and fun simultaneously, so DICE should at least get some credit for that. What would be awesome to see though, is character damage reflected in game through injury. Wounded players ought to move slower, or with a limp or something. Or they can't throw grenades as far as normal with an arm/hand injury. Or if they get hit in the head, maybe their vision is all wonky until a medic gets to them or something. That'd be cool. Im really no expert when it comes to to bullet damage in RL so you might be right. I only know, that about 10 years ago when most of my friends went to swiss army, they were told there that a bullet of the SG550 would kill a person in one shot no matter where they were hit. That was because of the high velocity ammunition that switzerlands army used back then would cause a shock that lead to death. They changed that ammunition a couple years ago because it was considered inhuman to use though. So i guess "nerfs" happen in RL too XD. Either way BF3 has too much unrealistic mechanics to be called a simulation or realistic. Limitless sprinting, revives, repair, carrying infinite ammo/healthpacks, the spawnsystem, being able to sprint as fast with a mortar ammo and lmg as you can with a smg are just a few of many examples where dice chose to ignore reality for the sake of fun/gameplay/ballance (and im very happy about that). IMO the only thing that should be unconditionally realistic are graphics otherwise gameplay should always come first. I agree with Divine-Sneaker that the added bullet spread when supressed is not how the supression effect works in RL but atleast it shares one quality with a RL war szenario: Its not fun.

...on that note, I really need to upgrade my PC so I can start playing with friends and stop playing this game on the xbox. I cannot begin to explain to you the lengths of stupidity I have seen from people in this game.

Unfortunately this shit is never going to be fixed TT. Somehow it even gets worse, it seems to me that dice tweaked something and now you get less "die behind cover BS" but get much more "one hit killed by random guns BS". How i miss those times when games had lan and you could go to a party and play without having to deal with all this latency issues.

Whoever thought queue priority was even a concept needs to die in a fire, get revive padded with no option to say no forever and keep dying in the same fires for all eternity. Not fucking kidding.

ACCESS POWERFUL FEATURES With Battlefield 3 Premium comes the unique chance to reset your Score/Minute, Kills/Deaths, and Wins/Losses stats if you want a fresh start with your multiplayer soldier. To further recognize your status, we give you queue priority into servers, more decals for your Platoon emblems, and the ability to favorite five of your Battle Reports to store them permanently. i'd love a reset, but i'm not going to pay for it lol ... I've started playing more LoL and probably GW2 now though so it doesn't effect me since i got bored of bf3 (imo caspian was really the only fun map for every role), but since it includes all the upcoming expansion packs it might be cheaper to get premium if you're going to play bf3 all the time

All the random bullshit with "carbonfiber" and stupid underlinings and icons saying "premium player" are just so amazingly sad. If they'd simply release a DLC mappack that'd be my choice. Not going to play any of the CQ maps either, at all due to obvious reasons but I'd like the weapons in case they're overpowered, which some seem like they could be. User was warned for this post

They're obviously doing this to ensure that people give them money for future content instead of hoping that people still play the game long enough to buy all the content. They're adding the extra incentives as well to imply that just getting the DLC by itself is pointless. I just think the kind of annoying thing is that they're including BtK into it so its like rebuying that DLC which is lame imo as for the extras... what other people eat doesn't make you shit.

All I want is the DLC, non-overpriced, and nothing else. Ps. harsh expression, I get it. Didn't mean to imply anything,
