Didn't work btw, won't let you switch teams at the start after spawning like that anymore I guess. Oh hey everyone from the new TL active platoon add me on Skype, same as in game name mathew_1942. If I'm not on battlelog and I am online then my Skype is open and I'm prolly playing SC2/BW etc. Message me so I'll log on or if you want to play any other games like CS or something.
That reminds me of an incident I had on seine crossing. Our entire team went to capture A after spawning, I just randomly threw down C4 like I had been doing at spawn for shits and giggles. Then pressed detonate when we captured. Suddenly about 13 people appeared as "is no more" in the killfeed, followed by a shitstorm of wtf and hacker.
That was so hilariously glorious it took a while before I'd laughed as much again.
The map might be playable with low plyer numbers OR without autoshotguns/rpg/m320... Else it turns out into a massive spamfest without sense in squadplay or whatever =( I just hope there will be another map than that one...

These were my exact thoughts, you cannot have 64 people in those enclosed maps, Metro proves that and it makes for crappy/spam filled battles where you jump and spray around corners to get kills. I was thinking of buying that DLC but honestly its not worth my money to just get some new gun models/sounds, vanilla has more than enough weapons to occupy my time as it is, doubt I will be buying any more DLC for BF3. Would be nice if they threw there long time fans a bone and gave us more than a freaking M1911 pistol. lol

Yes it does, I've just did that, the amount of hate I got was incredible and well deserved. Good thing they will fix it. Tried it once, never do it again, was mad fun tho
Is that some server setting that can turn it off because I tried it like three times in a row on the same server and as soon as I laid the C4 I went to switch teams and it would never let me even when a space (or more) was open. Oh well I don't really care, just wanted to see people freak out. lol Would have gotten banned I'm sure.
Oh how much I wish they don't sell more then a dozen copies of that crapload they call DLC. :D Will be sad to miss out on those guns, but no where in hell they see a single cent from me for that.
Is it just me or are those new multiplayer cqc maps from the campaign/co-op? They aren't even new they are just taking parts of the campaign and putting it into multiplayer to get more money?
We've only seen one map, and I know all the offices feel the same in campaign/co-op, but I do think that it is similar in style but different in structure. I think I will buy the DLC, why not use new guns and the smaller maps may not be the battlefield experience that I have been really enjoying but, sometimes it's nice to be able to just chill and play mindless tdm. Besides blowing stuff up is fun. =D
Some new guns I noticed while watching and after further investigation: L86A1 AUG SPAS-12 SCAR-L ACW-R MTAR-21 LSW LSAT
where did you see the AUG? Damn if this DLC really has the AUG it will be hard for me to resist to buy it. Im pretty shure DICE will make the DLC weapons OP at the beginning and patch them 3 months later so people will have to buy the DLC to play with the good guns. I just hope they dont put the SG550 in this DLC or i wont have another choice than buy it.
Im not a total hater of a close quarters map pack, i just think that the BF3 class system doesnt really work on this kind of maps. Without RPGs and M320s it could still be fun to play such a map once in a while as long as the maps arent as linear as metro. But whats the point of having the engineer class (anti vehicle class) on such maps?
I just hope they add a round based gamemode with the DLC, kinda something counterstrikesque. Its not that i need that at all costs but it would be a nice addition.
If you watch the kill feed you will see it pop up, I watched it a few times spamming play and pause to see stuff, other people on youtube were even more observant and looked at the actual guns on the floor and in people's hands, which when I saw those I added them to my list.

Engineers have the best close-quarters guns in the game. Snipers are the ones you won't see much of in that DLC (probably, though a PDW with TUGS would be pretty sweet on that map).
MP7 will be really good on the new map. Guns like FAMAS and AEK will probably dominate the DLC maps.. I hope there is a new game mode that makes the maps fun..

TT Or just scoot off the new platoon and get back to afk'ing for days like the ICCUP TL op chat room. XD
NeonSky I think that if you haven't had to deal with a ton of technical difficulties then this game is surely worth sticking with, even being in platoons and groups I still seem to play the majority of the time by myself and I usually lone wolf my way to the top of the score board. Just try to memorize any random spot on maps and try to hold that area the entire game, I do that on most rounds and it seems to usually go well for me.
Of course once your used to the maps you will know the key spots your team needs to hang onto in order to win but just in general getting the hang of defensive positions should get you a ton of nice kills. My in game ID is mathew_1942 so add me and lets get in the battlelog voice chat and play some games. :D
I'd be more active if I could join a fucking server O_O
haha, seriously, I have done all the uPnP stuff (I was set up in the "fixed" way before) and no dice (LOL)...I just can't seem to connect to servers 95% of the time. Really ruins my motivation to play.
That said I'm still playing when I can (mostly weekends when I have time to waste an hour and a half finding a server) and sometimes streaming too. On my Saturday stream I shot down three helicopters in my tank haha, made me feel pretty badass.

Actually i thought about the classes again and its probably not that bad. Engis role will probably be destruction, Recon can use TUGS and PDW, Support can setup traps with claymores and Assault will be the strongest class with Medkit/M320 and Defib. Also i think the best CQC weapons are FAMAS, AEK and F2000 but that could change with the new weapons. Explosives are a dilemma in BF3 CQC, they are annoying if spammed but you need them for destruction and thats a selling point of BF3 so there is no chance they take them out.
