No, probably not. They're likely just reusing assets to keep a consistent experience with the single player. Much like Metro has a lot of campaign assets, but isn't a campaign map. The level design itself is likely unique.
i'll probably get the DLC when its put on sale since i have barely any time to play anymore, i wasn't going to get it before but that video seemed pretty cool. I think BF can do infantry well, metro is just a terrible map because of that one area

Why? That seems like an extreme overreaction. A MAV will only kill you if you don't see it coming, in which case you are playing the game wrong. Or playing really weird game modes that I dont know of.
the only reason metro is bad is because of the fact its a really long, straight line and the points are setup to have the two zergs on the stairs / huge shitfest in one tiny room.
Smaller cqc maps that allow for spreadout fighting would be naice. :3 like, 10vs10 on left / right / middle as opposed to 32vs32 in tiny box room.

Yes I am a sucker for the MAV ;_;
I was attacked by a mav only once.
you cant see much of them in Kharg-Caspian-Firestorm
I dont see a huge problem with mav killing too. In almost 500h of gameplay ive been killed by it less than 10 times. MAV riding is a bigger problem imo because it allows players to go to places where you shouldnt be able to go and even that is not a gamebreaking problem if its not used to get under the map. But its already confirmed that they will fix this in the upcoming patch.

Key word is "hurt", not kill. I personally think the MAV kill thing is stupid, but am not averse to a MAV hurt idea... maybe 2 or 3 hits to kill instead of instant roadkill. That way you really do have no excuse if you're killed by a MAV.
You don't in the first place. The sound is extremely loud and obvious, it's almost always easily spotted and takes very few shots to kill. It renders the user useless for anything else than spotting/destroying equipment and he is extremely vulnerable.
The only point where you'll really get killed by one is if you're camping somewhere and being even more useless than the mav pilot himself. Therefore, it's just fine.
That goes without saying the elevatoring is retarded as all hell.

So all these people are campers then?
There's a reason they call it the "flying lawnmower". Do a Youtube search of "BF3 MAV kills", the amount of vids like this are quite boggling.

Engineers have the best close-quarters guns in the game. Snipers are the ones you won't see much of in that DLC (probably, though a PDW with TUGS would be pretty sweet on that map).
Actually i thought about the classes again and its probably not that bad. Engis role will probably be destruction, Recon can use TUGS and PDW, Support can setup traps with claymores and Assault will be the strongest class with Medkit/M320 and Defib. Also i think the best CQC weapons are FAMAS, AEK and F2000 but that could change with the new weapons. Explosives are a dilemma in BF3 CQC, they are annoying if spammed but you need them for destruction and thats a selling point of BF3 so there is no chance they take them out.
famas aek and f2000 are all getting nerfed. I think best weapon for Assault is m16a3 because of the all around capabilities. It's accurate has a good rate of fire and high damage. It's my go to weapon until the m416 recoil spaz is fixed (probably won't be).

People playing metro aren't people I'm willing to give much attention at all.
Me and my buddies have literally gotten 10+ kills successively by walking backwards into the enemy team while dropping C4 among other things on metro. Playing an actual map and hopefully avoiding a massive amount of retards yields nowhere near that amount of kills.
All there needs to be done is fix the goddamn hitbox for all deployable equipment.

As a sniper, even if you see it coming, you have to devote so much attention to simply dodging it and it takes nice aim to actually hit it. While I can do that, the time spent dealing with the MAV has gotten me killed the vast majority of the time. Now, as a rule of thumb, I generally do not shoot MAVs when I'm playing recon.
