-Increased the inaccuracy and recoil added when a player is fully suppressed.
this suppression buff is dumb. actually, this whole suppression feature is bad. players shouldn't be rewarded for missing shots in an fps game.

When you fire near an enemy their vision is blurred and their accuracy is lowered. Designed for support and their LMGs. To the post above the post above, I like the mechanic but there aren't enough "trenchy" maps where enemies are sitting behind cover that you can't explode and you just want to keep them from being able to poke up and get a quick snipe off (be it AR snipe or RPG)

The idea DICE had with supression is actually good. Its not that people are rewarded for missing but they are rewarded for helping their team to advance or flank. Unfortunately that mechanic doesnt play out like DICE wanted it to at all. One reason why this doesnt work is definitely the missing communication and the pace of the game. If you play as support and supress the enemy but cant tell your squad/teammates that, they wont know when its safe to make a run. Such coordinated maneuvers in a fast paced game require communication between teammates but as we all know BF3 is lacking the tools to do that.

I joined 16 servers last night before I finally connected to one. I CONSTANTLY get errors "something went wrong" or "disconnected" or "EA online error" or etc etc. SO infuriating. It takes me over an hour to join a server and by the time I join I'm so pissed off I don't even want to play.

I had problems connecting to games until I disabled xfire and now it works perfectly. Also applied for the Platoon. Only started playing recently again due to a PC upgrade.

It's something on your end, because most people don't have that problem. For instance, I join every server I click on, ergo, it's not the server or the site, but something conflicting with your computer (otherwise I also would be having the problems and so would everyone else). Router NAT type maybe? Or the issues mentioned above?

However, it seems like 80% of my games just end in a steamroll loss; i'll look at the scoreboard and see that 4-8 opposing team members are all from the same clan and obviously using ventrilo or some equivalent to coordinate and thus get high scores. This scenario just seems unfair when no level of public communication can compete given there's no VOIP or decent in game commands. Now I know I suck at this game regardless, my aim is decent at best and my SA is pretty bad since I've put in less than 50 hours and haven't memorized the maps, but it seems like there's only so much individual improvement can do in a team oriented game and this situation is not going to change. I don't really have to the time or effort to put into being in a clan, should I just drop this game before I waste more time?

NeonSky I think that if you haven't had to deal with a ton of technical difficulties then this game is surely worth sticking with, even being in platoons and groups I still seem to play the majority of the time by myself and I usually lone wolf my way to the top of the score board. Just try to memorize any random spot on maps and try to hold that area the entire game, I do that on most rounds and it seems to usually go well for me. Of course once your used to the maps you will know the key spots your team needs to hang onto in order to win but just in general getting the hang of defensive positions should get you a ton of nice kills. My in game ID is mathew_1942 so add me and lets get in the battlelog voice chat and play some games. :D
