This is a beta build problem, in the current build of the game the squad system is fully functional and useful, according to DICE.
False. Dice stated on twitter there will be no in-game squad system. Squads can only be managed before joining a game using Battlelog.
Squad list now shows specializations chosen, VOIP activity and dead squad mates. Non working options in squad menu fixed: "Private" flag and "Switch Teams"."
Makes it sound like you can make private squads to me.

^_^ hehe or fun times in the subway
but personally i think that the moblie spawn is a bit broken? not quite the right word but if every squad had one close to the points its like endless re-enforcement maybe im saying this because of the map and the mode, but if you place it in a good spot you can easily flank the enemy team and cap points on metro

You can destroy it. And chances are if there's a cluster of 2 or more people, you're gonna get grenades thrown at you. Which equals dead radio. Granted you could drop another again but you'd have to fight your way back up the tunnel.

Squad members always tend to spawn on the highest ranking or highest k/d team mate anyways, I never spawn on dudes just chilling out. I've been having a blast in the beta so far, playing with only one other person but its still awesome, would be better with two others for a full squad (if that feature was actually functioning, which it isn't in beta) Oh and I found something funny on BF3 Blog website, look at the MW add at the bottom. lol + Show Spoiler +

I'm an Engineer halfway to the EOD bot and I have a friend who plays support. What I was thinking...is it possible to stick C4 to the bot and drive up it to the enemy for giggles or does the C4 not attach?
