Correct, sadly it is.
You know, because ESPORTS is only for consoles - at least for the bigger FPS franchises.
And if CS: Global Offensive makes 'only Xbox/PS' tournaments to kick off their product imma rage.

Yeah I just tried to find a game and no servers up. Went to BF3 twitter and noticed this: I have been reading most of this thread and havnt seen anything about this yet. They are calling it biggest gaming tourney in history with $1.6mil prizepool. Looks like it could be interesting if it has a good client to follow games and show a good feel for how the game is playing out. It looks to be console only? Correct, sadly it is. I know that BF gameplay is different than COD, where people mindlessly shoot each other, but really, dying all the time isn't fun either. I'm trying to hide but someone notices me and I die, most of the time tI don't even see where they are. I'm not sure if I am gonna buy the game right now, if I can't get used to this play, then my money will be not worth it. The game does have a learning curve and teamwork is really important to success, you will not enjoy this game if you are lone wolfing it.

On a more serious note, anyone have any useful tips to contribute for defenders in part 4 of Metro? I'm completely baffled at how imbalanced that part is. As someone on here mentioned earlier, the attackers have quicker access to high ground, defenders spawn in open, and the objectives are almost always an instant win once they've been activated. Only once did I play a round where I met heavy resistance at the exits when I was on attack team, and I was getting a lot of easy kills because there are very limited spots in which to camp those points. I think this part is intended to be unbalanced. The defending team has 3 chances to stop the offense before you get to this point, so if you're pushed all the way back to part 4 you're pretty much boned. My approach is to break across the street and work up a stairwell to gain access to one of the buildings. If you can get in one of the buildings and up the stairs, you have a shot at holding out. You'll have a direct view of the bombsite by the bus, and you can pin down people trying to come out of their spawn. If you can't get across the street, or you get across but lose control of the buildings, you've probably lost. That is what stupid about the design, if enemy managed to pushed to stage 4, it means they have the ability to assault another defender's advantage position. So why not make it another challenge instead of turning into a total rape. Don't say because it's imba to the attackers, because both team get to play both side, it should be challenging for the attackers from start to finish, might as well not add the last stage. Just imagine what everyone's mindset at the end of game. Challenging for the attackers from start to finish Attacker won: Enemy put up a good fight the whole round, very satisfying win. Defender lost: We did our best, although we didn't win but it was gg! Stupid stage 4 defender position makes it auto lose Attacker won: We totally rape them with no sweat at the end, LOL! Defender lost: We managed to defend pretty well, but they over run us at the end in no time, stupid map. So stage 4 should be tougher for the attackers to "make them earn it"? They've already earned it. That's why the game made it to stage 4. After getting picked off again and again and again from the bushes in stage 1, they now get to pay back the favor.

If they already earned, then round should just end there at stage 3. Pay back the favor? Sure, new round when both team changed sides.

The defending team in stage 4 never even tries to push up the stairs. They just sit there and try to snipe it out. From the lowground. Every. Single. Time. Break some snipers to the left and right flanks. Get into the houses. Set up mobile spawn points. GG. That's how the defenders should play stage 4 but they never do because BF has a lot of weaksauce players who never played Quake, CS, or another FPS that teaches you how to fight and be aggressive.

i.e.; in-game map is utterly useless, flashlight, foliage, dying in 3 hits, squad interface is garbage, too hard to identify friend from foe is darker areas, where the fuck is my squad??!(fuck knows) and metro is a terrible map and needs to be destroyed.

Sure, provided that you don't get spawn camped because you spawn right in the open where enemy camping on the building.
