After you said that I immediately went to get into a Caspian server and got it like always on the first try. Password atm is: shoppingcartsareagoodride you have to just copy and paste that. Try checking NA, LA, and EU server checklist thing and just scroll down and then up and refresh again over and over until you see one slot open and then rush your ass off to get it. Rinse and repeat basically. The maps great, metro is horribly dull after 10-30 rounds of it and feels kinda like MW2 lol.
Caspian feels like BF with a crazy CoD twist, you can definitely see that there trying to steal some of that market. I love the way it feels and it puts BC2 in the dust imo. Stinger missiles and slow jets is a nice combo as well, also oh my god those leaf shadows all over show up even on the absolute lowest of settings and just look fantastic, same with the water and sky. edit-oh and I wanted to say that the knife animations I've seen are all shit so far, fucking stupid taking the tags off "with" the knife, go back to what they showed in the commercials of epic chest, lower side and back stabs, BC2 animations are better than what I've seen so far and I think I've knifed like 20 or so people so far.
Something I find pretty cool is when a Sniper aims your way, you can see the reflecting light in his scope. I scored a few kills by just shooting the little light but I think, even if you don't score a kill, it helps a lot shooting it because of the insane sounds you hear when bullets go down around you.
Might be wrong, maybe a sniper doesn't even really care.
I have lvl 16 right now, but soo mapy campers, bugged textures, shitty search system, after i kill someone i cant see him in 1/2s and later he is laying down 5/10 meters right to place where i killed him.
Yeah the Beta is really bugged and there's so much delay. I often die when an opponent is not even in my line of sight yet and I got a lot of kills by just having an extra half second when people turn around the corner. You pretty much can't prone in the outside section without bugging out the map...anyways it's sooo buggy but OMG it's awesome.
I hope they take the time to polish everything before release (even if it has to be delayed). I think they are the route to making a GREAT game. This does feel more like an alpha though..lol
Has anyone else had a problem where every time you log on to a server the screen is completely black excluding the HUD? Tried updating drivers and everything but I have a ATI 4xxx series and they only released a bf3 related update for 5xxx/6xxx series. I know this is not a tech support thread but thought I'd ask since I didn't find an answer anywhere else.
Watching that makes me want to give it another chance. Definitely looks way more fun rolling with an organized group rather than by yourself or with just one or 2 buds.
