Also that first 20 minutes apparently was in shit/weird quality, so I'm not taking much about the final graphics from it. ya kinda wish i had a 360 they always get games leaked before pc.....and people thought pirating was worse on pc...I remember playing black ops at a friends a few days before release(and we were playing online) heres hoping pc gets released soon 11.11.11 you need steam yo steam only games get pirated just as much as non steam. if someone has a leak and crack it will hit torrents pretty soon. It's fairly common for pc versions to be leaked ~week before normal release. that said this is a game i feel I'm going to buy.
It's true for the leak, but cracks almost never come out until at least 12 to 24 hours until official release. Partially because the cracker scene doesn't want to hurt the industry too much, and partially of course since the preload files are of course encrypted and something like that rarely gets cracked.

Hard to say. There is a link for the PC version out there now, who knows what kind of viruses and what not lay within though.

All I know is that I 100% must get Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off of work next week so that me and my buddy can camp out in front on my computer screen with wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much beer and weed for 2 people and only leave my room to piss/smoke/maybe eat while we "co-op" our way through the wilderness. And by "co-op" I mean we will both have equal weight in the decisions made and such, while most likely switching off playing every now and again. Friday is just gonna be silly.....
My buddy is gonna be playing it on his xbox, while his brother is at my house playing on my computer, while their OTHER brother is prolly gonna be playing it on HIS computer, along with the like 4 other people we know that are getting it on release.
God damnit 11/11/11, I need my fucking time machine.

watching some streams, voice acting actually isnt bad, which is a pleasant surprise. its just the opening sequence that has all the old (terrible) oblivion voice actors.

I'm in massive agreement with you... booked off my Friday a couple of months ago (which brings it into the same esteem as the long weekends I take off for MLG events)!
We've started getting advertisements on television for Skyrim in the UK - which are virtually 100% acted, rather than any in-game shots (maybe it's seen as a way to be more immersive, or just less geeky)! Have people in other countries started getting these too...?

It's a shame, really. Information and partial software leaks and pre-release streams are free advertisement, and hypes the product up a lot. They should realise how powerful these are as advertisement agents rather than trying to stomp 'em out like they're doing now.
In fact, that they're so scared of allowing people to show pre-release streams makes me think the game raelly doesn't reach up to the hype, since they're so unwilling to show actual gameplay. They're implying, through their actions, that they're scared of showing their product, which is never a good feeling to get.

I watched leaked first 30minutes. No major spoilers and it was definitely interesting. I really enjoyed what I heard from the soundtrack so far. I'm staying the hell away from streams though.
+ Show Spoiler +I will probably download a pc leak if it comes out, but I'm not canceling my preorder or anything.

I agree with you, but it's a slippery slope, and they just don't want anything to do with it :T

Man, I hate being a university student now... I just bought Battlefield 3 and have absolutely no cash to spare... Two of my most favourite franchises would have to release their latest games not even 1 month apart wouldn't they.
It's hard for me to admit, but I think I might actually have to torrent my first ever game. Sad times. Although, I I'll definately buy a legit copy when I can afford to because I feel bad just thinking about torrenting it. Maybe Christmas... Maybe.

I pre-ordered yesterday. So exited!

When your livelihood depends on the product selling as much as humanly possible, you take no chances. I worked for a big budget studio and trust me when I say after working for 3+ years on a project, pouring countless hours of crunch and sacrifice into it, and knowing that your job potentially depends on the success of the game you don't want anything to go wrong.
What if a game breaking bug is found? Could very well hurt the ever important day one sales. Anyone that has worked in software development knows that you can't every 100% guarantee a product is bug free. And don't say "you should test it more" because I can tell you short of bio engineering a subset of humans that doesn't eat or sleep, QA is doing it's best with the time and resources given.

So the one stream I did manage to find after diving into the shithole that is /v/ I find it's just two /b/tards failing epic style and attempting to troll by just being ignorant retards while playing.......
I suggest you guys stay away to ease your minds. This is just painful to watch.

You just called Patrick Stewart a terrible voice actor. SHAME.

The one stream I managed to find was of some Russian guy walking around some town. I didn't want to be spoiled so I left.

Yeah I personally don't see the point of watching Skyrim streams. The whole point is to discover and experience the world for yourself, not watch some other dude do it.

Yes, I definately understand your point. But no matter, things WILL get leaked and the public WILL get their hands on content which isn't intended yet. Instead of panicking and devoting a lot of resources into stamping out the leak, would it not be a better idea to adapt to the situation and use it as marketing instead?
Since it will happen anyhow, I mean.
