I'd guess that after graphics, that is the most modded thing about Skyrim. It is something they started in oblivion, and for some reason also put into skyrim. It was way worse in oblivion, though, where at some point every filthy bandit ran around in full glass armor. If you can afford glass armor, trying to rob 5 goldpieces from random people you meet on the street is probably not your highest priority.
In Skyrim it is done better, but it is still something a lot of people do not like. In my opinion, the best way to play oblivion or Skyrim game is with a mod that disables level scaling. This way it actually matter where you are. In a levelscaling world, every place is the same. You always know that you can fight whatever you meet wherever you go, and will find loot of an approximately appropriate level.
In a non-scaling world, some areas are scary. You don't go anywhere near dwarven stuff for a long period of time, and if you see a vampire, you RUN.
You have something to look forward to if you get stronger, not just that the draugr you meet are now draugr deathlords with larger axes. It makes exploring stuff actually fun.

I'm currently playing Oblivion again and I'm about 100 hours in and as you said above, one of the most annoying things is that every bandit/marauder is fitted with either full glass armor or full daedric armor.

I finished Skyrim a long time ago but what destroyed my enthusiasm to continue exploring for new stuff is the "Testing Room" which has been used in all Elder Scrolls games. Basicly a code which lets you teleport to a Place where you can see every gear in the game. That really destroys the magic of the world. It should never be there and if used it should mark Your character as a cheater i feel. I bet so many people are using that.

Would be awesome if caves, camps and such places were not static..
I would like to see something where at one point, a camp is inhabited by a bunch of scruffy bandits, then if you leave them alone for a week, they'll have been killed by something like a group of trolls, for example. Then, when you kill the trolls something else will ¨move in¨ after a while.
Would really help make the game world feel more alive..

Why would anything move into a place where the inhabitants consistently get slaughtered, robbed clean, and then left there to rot?

I never heard of this, and i don't get why you would use it. Also, it's a single player game. There is no point in flagging anything as a cheater. Do you really show of your single player characters to other people and brag about them when you know you cheated your stuff? Actually, do you do that even when you did not cheat? You yourself will always know what you did to get your character to where he was. You can use mods, console commands, whatever you like. If you are stupid enough to use those to destroy your game experience and not to enhance it, it is your own fault, and noone elses.

Even when I didn't mod the game I knew the Elder Scrolls game would not be able to give full immersion because you will always run into something weird that does not fit or an annoying bug. So when I found the test room it didn't really matter and if you "found" the test room you were messing with console commands so I don't see why the test room itself should be blamed it's your fault you were using console commands. The only place I legitimately was not expecting to find was the clean up cell because I used coc to teleport to an npc I thought I couldn't find, well there was a reason I couldn't find them. Enter "coc WIDeadBodyCleanupCell" if you want to see what it looks like :D

I want Dragonborn RIGHT NOW! Whats up with Bethesda what are they waiting for? Its nearly five weeks since the XBOX Release and Dragonborn should be ready by now to be released on Steam. I don't see where the problem is?

They have no obligation to hold the content back, so it stands to reason its just fixing technical stuff. It will come.

What mods have you actually played? The easiest thing to suggest is an overhaul mod like SkyRe or Requiem. If neither of those are to your fancy just go to SkyrimNexus and check the top mods for something that looks fun.

Thanks for the suggestion , i only played vannila so far. Will try out a total conversion mod first, anything i need beyond that ?

Some quality of life mods are nice like SkyUI. That is more up to your personal preference on what you want to fix. Think to yourself what is broken or annoying and there is probably a mod to fix it for you. Random things like weightless potions, pickpocketing/lockpicking overhauls, stronger daedric artifacts, etc etc. What you consider cheating and what you consider fixing anti-fun is purely up to you so browse and find things you think will improve your experience.

Looks like Dragonborn is coming to PC on February 5th and to PS3 sometime in February. Also, Hearthfire and Dawnguard are to be released on PS3 some time afterwards in February.
PC and PS3 fans, prepare to cast off. Next month, you will travel to Solstheim, home of Skyrim’s latest add-on, Dragonborn. PS3 fans can expect an expanded itinerary – with stops at Fort Dawnguard and Castle Volkihar – before heading back to the home of your dreams. Details below:
PC: On Tuesday, February 5th, Dragonborn will be available on Steam, including the English, French, Italian, Spanish and German versions of the content.
PlayStation 3: Dragonborn will be the first add-on arriving on PSN in February. Hearthfire will release next, followed by Dawnguard, and all three should be out in February. The 1.8 update will also release, just prior to Dragonborn. We’ll keep you posted as release dates get finalized both on our end and with Sony for each and its various languages. Last but not least, each one will be 50% off during their launch week on PSN.
Over the last year, it’s been a treat for us to work on new content for Skyrim, and we’re excited that it will soon be available for everyone to explore. Thanks for all your support and sharing your adventures with us. http://www.bethblog.com/2013/01/18/the-dragonborn-comes-in-february-and-hearthfire-dawnguard-too/

Spend some time leveling up skills to become as strong as I could, etc etc. But while doing this, I learnt something that really surprised me and put me off the game. The whole monsters leveling up along with you thing basically means that the more skills you level up, the weaker you become.
For example. One of the easiest ways to play through the game as a mage would be to only use and level destruction skills. But when you spend time leveling up other things such as speech, sneak, lockpicking, etc etc, the fact that these things level you up, making all the enemies level up too, tends to make you weaker overall.
Does this bother anyone else? I really do enjoy the style of Skyrim, but I would much prefer a game where I have to prepare for certain quests, not a game where preparation for certain quests actually make the enemy stronger. + Show Spoiler +

^-- haha so true. it was kinda silly that at one point of the game, every draugr you met was deathlord or death overlord or whatever the heck. Fun times as a cloth character when you get 1 hit by an arrow, in the knee.

Paid 40€ for this game, got 80 hours out of it, stopped playing. Picked it up again, got another 60 hours out of it, stopped again. Yet I can already see myself playing it again.. Imho a fantastic game, that could be better in some aspects, but I think the complexity of the game really makes up for that.

Just wanted to recommend a couple of mods, free from nexus.
Cloaks of Skyrim really made me enjoy playing 3rd person, the cloaks look decent, minimal mesh clipping. FC Kagrenac(SP?)s Mobile Fortress is a really awesome player house, my favourite by far. It's a dwemer cube that deploys into a tower anywhere outdoors. Markarth architecture. Comes with a ring that teleports you to the fortress front door too.
Cool stuff!
